Fifth floor common room, Wednesday evening

Nadia was sulking on the couch and watching AKA (the episode where the show gives up all pretense of realism and has Perth and her team of Spy Buddies get attacked by ghouls).

She could not believe GOB had given her detention again. And Perth's long-lost-fraternal-twin brother just got turned into a ghoul.

This sucked.

Seras poked her head into the fifth floor common room.

"Hey."

Nadia continued to pout at the television. "Hey."

"You look glum."

[nadiathesaint]

"GOB gave me detention." Nadia scowled. "Again. And Perth's long-lost-fraternal-twin brother, who's my favorite character on this show, just got turned into a ghoul. It's a show about spies! Why do they even have ghouls?"

"Oh...Yeah. That would do it."

Seras held out a brown paper bag. She'd actually been on her way to Nadia's room to give it to her when she'd come upon the other girl in the common room.

"Um...I've got something (http://www.alltribes.com/product_image.php?imageid=996342&getbig=1) for you."

Nadia brightened. "Yeah?" She took the bag and took a look and smiled. "Oh! Mr. Pennyworth gave me one of these awhile back, but Furrball broke it when we got to the cabins! Thank you!"

"Professor Tick had us make them in Arts and Crafts this week, and I figured..."

"You know how to make them? Wow." Nadia blinked and held the dream catcher up. "But don't you want to make sure you have one, too?"

"I can make one any time I need to. Yay Arts and Crafts for teaching us something useful."

Alphonse dropped by and decided to make himself comfy on one of the couches.

"Hey Al, how are you?"

"Same as ever," he answered. "Haven't seen you in a while, and I'm going to assume you've had a million questions about your adventures in the locker already, huh?"

"Not quite a million, but yes." Nadia shrugged. "How's Cuddles? Has he decided to conquer the world, yet?"

"So far I think he's content with just my half of the bedroom," Alphonse said. "Perhaps when he gets older he'll form an alliance with Pup. I'm surprised they haven't yet."

"No kidding. From what I hear, those two are thick as thieves."

"And here I thought they wouldn't get along when I first got Cuddles," Alphonse chuckled. "Or rather, took him."

"How did you end up with Cuddles?"

Walter came in and flopped down on the couch next to Nadia after his talk with Pippi at Caritas.

He might have been drinking just a tiny bit, which might have been noticeable when he leaned over to give Nadia a kiss.

"For the record, I'm not mad at you for tickling me."

"Oh. Good. Dalter Wornez was just telling tales, then?"

"So you don't think that girls get special treatment, then?"

"Well, yes, they do." Damage control! Quick! "But they deserve it?"

Nadia grinned. "But what about equality? Isn't that important, too?"
