Fifth floor common room, Saturday evening (starting at 5:00 pm)

Nadia barreled up the stairs right after detention and slammed into the common room to switch on the TV. Argentina was playing Mexico today, and the loser was out of the World Cup. She wanted to know who won and she wanted to know now.

She got there for the first few minutes of overtime and plopped down on the floor to watch the game, her heart pounding.

[ooc: open!]

Merdebaise was bored.

This was rarely a good thing.

She wandered into the common room and watched Nadia for a while before mrrowing.

//What is this foolish contest which you are watching, human?//

Merdebaise did not approve of the humans tone.

She hopped on the couch arm and mrrowed more forcefully.

//I asked you a question, human.//

Merdebaise eyed the waved hand, batting at it with a paw. This human was just asking for it.

This, unfortunately, was just long enough for MB to hiss back and scratch at Nadia's face.

Walter was along shortly after because.

Just because.

He could root for Argentina, since they weren't playing England and solidarity with his girlfriend, yo.

Walter grinned and spent more time watching Nadia's reactions than he did the game. It was a spectator sport in and of itself.

Walter looked at the TV to see the cutre, then went back to watching Nadia. "Mexico's not going to pull it out."

"Foul!" Walter looked a bit less disinterested, leaning forward to watch.

Walter on the other hand, noticed and handed her a handkerchief, grinning broadly at her enthusiasm, even as he tried to figure out how that had happened.

"You're bleeding and Argentina had better beat Germany into the ground in the next match."

"Bleeding." Now that she was closer, he could put the handkerchief to her cheek himself. "How did you do that?"

"Which stupid cat is that?" Walter asked, pulling the handkerchief back to have a look at her cheek. "And you love football because your team just had a fantastic win."

Pippi was off with Old Man, no doubt they were jumping over things left and right.

This results in a lonely monkey with nothing better to do.

Mr. Neilson waved back and hopped up onto the couch next to Nadia.

Hmm, did the nice girl have any raisins?

Mr. Neilson obviously had to work on getting these humans better trained.
