5th Floor Common Room - Starting at 11am FHT Sunday

Peter had his St. George's cross flag close by as he waited impatiently for the match to begin.  England vs. Ecuador with continued participation in the World Cup at stake.

He had run down to J, GOB ostensibly to get some pastries to share for breakfast but really because he couldn't sit still any longer so there was a selection of muffins and doughnuts on one of the tables.

Now for the football to start...

[OOC:  Open to all!  Come cheer for England!  Or Ecuador if you must]

"I think somebody will always be watching." she grinned. "Just a theory."

[identity profile] willbedone.livejournal.com 2006-06-25 05:19 pm (UTC)(link)
"I suppose," Willow said. "It does look like a big crowd."

[identity profile] strongestgirl.livejournal.com 2006-06-25 05:21 pm (UTC)(link)
"The golie can use his hands though." she pointed out. "No matter who's watching. It's like... the magic golie power."

[identity profile] willbedone.livejournal.com 2006-06-25 05:22 pm (UTC)(link)
"I'd heard about that," Willow said. "Maybe it's to make up for how he's forced to stand there while everybody else has fun running around?"

[identity profile] strongestgirl.livejournal.com 2006-06-25 05:25 pm (UTC)(link)
"True... But he does have the best seat in the house to watch the game... Other then the other golie that is."

[identity profile] willbedone.livejournal.com 2006-06-25 05:25 pm (UTC)(link)
"True," Willow said. "Plus he'd be the first to know what the score was 50% of the time."

[identity profile] strongestgirl.livejournal.com 2006-06-25 05:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Pippi watched as a shot by Equidor bounced off the cross guard of the goal.

"Yeah, and the English golie can totally relax, because the cross guard has been doing his job for him."

[identity profile] willbedone.livejournal.com 2006-06-25 05:30 pm (UTC)(link)
"Which player's the cross guard?" Willow asked.

[identity profile] strongestgirl.livejournal.com 2006-06-25 05:40 pm (UTC)(link)
"The cross guard is the top of the goal net holder thingy." Pippi said pointing. "More goals on England have been stopped by bouncing off the top of the frame then by the actual golie."

"Oooh," Willow said. "Gotcha. You know one of these days I'll remember to bring a notebook with me so I can write all this down."

[identity profile] strongestgirl.livejournal.com 2006-06-25 05:53 pm (UTC)(link)
"I bet there's some good books about it in the liberary!" she said. "Oh, did you ever get to become a liberary wench?"

[identity profile] willbedone.livejournal.com 2006-06-25 05:55 pm (UTC)(link)
"Not yet," Willow said, pouting. "As far as I know they're not hiring. But I'll still try the bribes when they do!"

[identity profile] strongestgirl.livejournal.com 2006-06-25 06:06 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh! Your icon is adorable and makes me feel so sad!

"Oh sucky!" she said, "But yeah! Bribes! Chocolate is good, or anything yummy. Mr. Wagner the librarian is very nice, I don't know if you'll need bribes for him... Or what is a good bribe if ya do..."

[identity profile] willbedone.livejournal.com 2006-06-25 06:07 pm (UTC)(link)
"I haven't met him yet," Willow said. "Mostly when I go to the library it's Rory there. But she and I get along pretty well. Oh! And the other day I met her puppy who is the cutest thing ever!"

[identity profile] strongestgirl.livejournal.com 2006-06-25 06:09 pm (UTC)(link)
"Isn't he?" she said, "He does tricks, did he show you his tricks?"

[identity profile] willbedone.livejournal.com 2006-06-25 06:10 pm (UTC)(link)
"He did flying and chasing a ball," Willow said. She looked proud. "I helped. With the ball part. The flying was all him."

[identity profile] strongestgirl.livejournal.com 2006-06-25 06:13 pm (UTC)(link)
"Don't tell anybody I said this," Pippi said quietly as she leaned in close to Willow. "But Vladdie is seriously the cutest animal in the building."

[identity profile] willbedone.livejournal.com 2006-06-25 06:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Willow nodded. "Did you see his little tongue? It's all pink and small!"

[identity profile] strongestgirl.livejournal.com 2006-06-25 06:17 pm (UTC)(link)
"I know! I like his perky ears! They're all..."

Pippi held her hands up to her head to mimic Vladdies ears. She tilts her head this way and that as she twitches her hands.

"I should amend that..." Pippi said, still holding up her hands in the 'Vladdie Ears' gesture. "He's the cutest thing in the building when somebody isn't transformed into an animal... Because they tend to be quite delightful when that happens."

[identity profile] willbedone.livejournal.com 2006-06-25 06:18 pm (UTC)(link)
"Bridge was kind of cute as a ferret," Willow said. "I gave him some junk food, which fortunately did not kill him. I don't know if regular ferrets can eat that."

[identity profile] strongestgirl.livejournal.com 2006-06-25 06:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Pippi shrugged. "Maybe. I know when Pip was a gosling we gave him some fried fish sticks, which I thought may at least upset his tummy. But he seemed fine... The beer didn't seem to bother him either."

[identity profile] willbedone.livejournal.com 2006-06-25 06:43 pm (UTC)(link)
"Some ducks eat fish, right?" Willow said. "So fish sticks would probably be okay. Duck sticks, on the other hand, would be a little gross."

[identity profile] strongestgirl.livejournal.com 2006-06-25 06:45 pm (UTC)(link)
"You do have a point there." she said, "But it was more that it was fried rather then it being fish that caused me concern."

[identity profile] willbedone.livejournal.com 2006-06-25 06:49 pm (UTC)(link)
"Good point," Willow said, grinning. "I don't there's many fried fish in the wild."

[identity profile] strongestgirl.livejournal.com 2006-06-25 06:50 pm (UTC)(link)
"At least, none that I know of." she said nodding and grinning back.
