The roof, Friday night

It wasn't raining. Which was nice, though Nadia was still a bit wet after her shower to get rid of the cherry jello. She set herself up on the edge of the roof with her bag of brownies and lay down to stare up at the sky while she waited for Cally.

Okay, so her team didn't win and she got stepped on by a jello dragon. Still, things were looking up. They were starting to solve the ghost problem, and she had a delightful evening of stoned-ness ahead of her.

Fun times.

Cally climbed up to the roof, and patted the Viper before wandering over to where Nadia was.

"Hey," Cally said. "You... I take it you're a late night shower-taker?"

"Not always, mostly just when I'm covered in jello."

"..." Cally blinked. "Okay, kinky."

Nadia grinned. "Well, that's what happens when you get stepped on by a jello dragon."

"There was jello dragons?" Cally said. "I missed that."

"Yes, there were! I killed one! I'm a dragon slayer." Nadia might have had a brownie or two already. She held them out to Cally. "Brownie?"

"Oh, yes please," Cally said, taking it. She bit into it and sat down next to Nadia. "Wow, these are kinda really good."

"They're great. They're the best. If I ever meet Eddie, the guy who makes them? I'm going to give him a big hug."

"Hugs are nice," Cally said. She took another bite of brownie. "So, is all the ritual just brownie eating and sitting?"

"And talking and not being emo and possibly dancing."

"Those are all things I can do," Cally said, nibbling some more brownie. "So, what's so special about the brownies again? Other than being delicious?"

"They have pot in them. Well, sort of. They have the pot chemicals in them. So they make you high."

"Oh," Cally said. "I've never done that before. It's nice, right?"

"It's very nice. Very relaxing. Though it might make you hungry."

"But... we're eating brownies," Cally said. "Shouldn't that cancel it out?"

"You'd think. Maybe it will. It affects everyone in different ways."

"Okay," Cally said, nibbling a bit more brownie. She spread out a bit, and looked up at the sky.

"So, am I supposed to be feeling really bad about what I did?"

"I don't think you're supposed to feel any way at all. Why, do you?"

It was a violation of the no emo rule, but Nadia was willing to bend those when it was something she thought the other person had to talk about.

"Good," Cally said. "Cause... I don't," she said. "Which makes me feel bad, because I keep thinking I should, and... okay, nevermind." She took another bite and sighed. "Because seriously. The only people upset is... Willow. Which makes no sense."

Nadia shrugged. "People don't always make sense, though. Is she good friends with him, or something?"

"Yeah," Cally said. "Cooking study buddies, apparently." She rolled over and propped her head in her hands. "Which I totally did not know, only going forward to cement the right decision making. Even ignoring the Conner sexing that happened."

"Conner sexing? What?"

"Anders and Conner totally frakked each other," Cally said. "More than once, even."

She finished off her brownie with a bit of a so-not-upset-about-that assertive chew.

Nadia blinked. "While you were dating?!"

"No. Right after we broke up," Cally said. "As far as I know." Cally pointed in the direction of the brownies. "Can I have another one?"
