Saturday - 5th Floor Common Room - 10:30am FHT- end of the game

Peter hadn't been able to sleep before the game though World Cup nerves weren't what were keeping him awake.  In any case, he'd put the time to good use by getting doughnuts, pasties, and orange juice and putting them out on the Common Room table.

England vs. Portugal.  And it was even more important that England win since Germany had beaten Argentina the day before.  Peter waited for the game to begin impatiently.  Sans bodypaint though he'd tacked his English flag to the wall.


[OOC:  Come cheer for England!  Or just eat the pastries and mock the soccer hooligans.  I'll throw up game OCD for reactions and stuff as it goes on.  And now in the right place.  Yay!]

Molly went into the common room looking for breakfast.

"Morning Molly!" Peter replied with a grin. "It's the World Cup. England's playing Portugal this morning." He grinned. "Hopefully beating them."

"Oh, cool. Somehow I've missed every single game so far. How far are they into the tournament?" She looked at the food Peter had set out. And can I steal some breakfast even though I can't stay for the whole game?"

Molly watched a Portuguese player take a dive. "Socc- er, football players are such good fakers."

"It's the quarter-finals so we're getting close. The final game of the tournament is the 9th, I think," he said. "And I don't know...are you supporting England?" He asked, teasingly.

Molly grinned back at him. "Since I don't know anyone who gets called Portuguese Peter, I think I'll cheer for England."

"Then please do help yourself to anything you like," Peter said with a slight bow. "I don't have any coffee. Mainly because I don't have the slightest clue how to make it."

Buffy, who'd been searching for breakfast and found donuts, blinked at the tv. The Portuguese player looked very pained. "That's fake?"

Molly made a face as she took a pastry and some orange juice. "That's okay with me. I don't like coffee. Thank you for breakfast," she said.

"'How to fall down dramatically when the ref is looking,'" Peter said. "Part of the curriculum, of course."

"You're one of the few then?" Peter asked. "I swear, I was forced to try coffee in the first few days by people who couldn't imagine anyone could dislike it."

The player got up and back into the game.

"Huh. This is a weird game," Buffy decided. "But I like the shorts."

You'd have to have been crazy to think that Conner wouldn't be here early for this. There was no bodypaint for him today either (because that hadn't worked so well yesterday), but he did have on the same shirt he'd worn to the match with Ecuador.

"His name is Jake," Molly said, also grinning. "He's not here for the summer, but he should be back in the fall. He's a friend and he doesn't say it in a mean way. He was just so horrified the first time we met, which was at The Perk, and I told him I don't like coffee. Jake really likes coffee. More than Rory even."
