Fourth Floor Common Room//Saturday Night
Feeling guilty that Merdebaise had scared Pup at All and Sundries, Seras decided to spend some time spoiling the little guy.
She took him to the Common Room and got his bag of blood from the fridge. She took it plus a bowl to the TV room and poured Pup a healthy portion. Curling up next to him on the floor, she stroked his fuzzy little back and flipped through the TV channels.
Huh...an 80s movie marathon...
Oooh...Attractive in Aqua...

"Mm? Oh, no. Please, c'mon in."
She gazed up at him.
"I don't think we've met. My name's Seras."

"I'm minding him for Walter until he gets back, and Walter told me hellpuppy."
Pup looked up from his dish, blinked his six eyes, and gave a small 'woof' as though to add to the affirmation before returning to his treat.

"It was 1993 when I came here," she said, "So, I'm from then-ish. You?"

"Same," she said, "Only forward in time. Though, frankly, I got off easy. I mean there's people like my roommate, Gwynn. She's from 1199."
And, there's people like Walter. Who will be back soon. So stop it.

"Yeah...Fortunately, Gwynn's quite bright. I didn't explain to her about the um, plumbing, but she seems to have caught on. But, I helped her with her answering machine, and that went well."

There was that blush again. Seras cleared her throat.
"A hedgehog? That must've been Isabel's boyfriend. She came into the store looking for a basket for him. That's how we got to talking. Greg, right?"

"Oh! I love this part," she said pointing to the screen where Goosey had begun to lip sync and dance around the store to an old Otis Redding song.

"I can see how people might want Charlie and Goosey to end the film together," she amitted, "But, the idea never sat right with me."

[ooc: sorry, I was abruptly AFK. SP if you like, or we can leave it here]

Seras shrugged.
"I think the movie's more realistic this way."
[OOC: SP sounds good to me. I was about to head to bed anyhow.]

[ooc: *sigh* Thanks, lj, for giving me the notification -now-. Feel free to let it go, as it's so late.]

"Basing your entire life around being with one person strikes me as kind of a silly thing to do."
[OOC: *kicks lj* Feh. That sucks. *shrugs* We can stop if you want, but I'd be okay with continuing, too.]

"Precisely. Do as you like, and to hell with the lot of 'em."
If she'd had a glass, she would have raised it in toast.

"So, what brings you to Fandom, anyhow?"

"I get what you mean," she said, "Well, apart from the military camp part. Had you wanted to be a soldier or something?"

Seras shrugged.
"I was...going to school in England. But, I wasn't really interested in any of the subjects. It never seemed to have anything to do with what I wanted. But, the subjects at Fandom did. So, that's why I'm here."

"I can not disagree. I've been happier here then I have in a long time."
And sadder and angrier, come to think of it...
