Squirrel Campfire: Sunday Night

Pippi has a cozy fire going in the Squirrel Cabin campfire ring.

There might also be a tin of "s'more nachos" going. Maybe even a small cooler with some chilly bottles of fizzy lemonade?

There was going to be a "Welcome back Squirrels" banner... But there was nowhere really to pin it up. So Pippi used it for kindling.

Cally sat down at the campfire and held out a envelope (http://sogothcally.livejournal.com/32958.html#cutid4) towards Pippi.

"Hey," she said.

"Hi Cally!" Pippi said. "Ooh! What's this?"

"An apology," Cally said. "If I knew how to bake, it would've come with cookies."

"We could pop down to town and buy cookies." she offered. "Do you want me to give this to somebody for you?"

"It's for you," Cally said. "Cause of Friday."

"Oh? Cool!" Pippi chimed as she ripped open the envelope and read the note inside.

"... Huh?"

"I was touching you with intent to fondle!" Cally blurted.

Pippi looked at Cally, then down at the paper, then back at Cally.

"Okay. I'm not mad at you." she said. "I wasn't trying to fondle you when I was doing your hair. I was just doing you hair."

Cally rubbed her forehead. "I was a little drunk on Friday," she said. "I totally understand. I'm just... wanting to make sure I didn't hurt you or anything."

After lugging both her things and Walter's things to the cabin and helping the boy himself get over, Nadia was more than happy to just hang out by the campfire.

She even had her guitar out.

"Hi Nadia!" Pippi said. "Have you seen Walter yet?"

Nadia nodded cheerfully. "Yes. I just got him into the cabin, actually. He tried to say he could carry his bag over here by himself."

Pippi rolled her eyes.

"He's a goofball." she said. "He told me he walked from the causeway... What a waste of a perfectly good opportunity to swipe a golfcart and not get punished for it."

"Yeah, I lectured him for that, too. I'm just glad he's back."

"Me too." she nodded. "So what are you gonna play?"

"I don't know yet." Nadia propped the guitar on her lap and started tuning it. Her fingers ached slightly, but nothing major. "Any requests?"

"I'm still waiting to hear High and Happy." she grinned.

Nadia rolled her eyes. "You do realize that's not an actual song, right? I don't know how to write music, just how to play it."

"Hey Nadia," Cally said with a wave. "Guess you're having a happy day, huh?"

"I am now. Hey, Cally."

"You've got yourself some serious nurse duty," Cally said with a chuckle. "Possibly, if you want to make his day? Some sexy nurse duty."

"I even have the outfit," Nadia said without thinking. "Well, it's a maid's out fit, but I'm sure I could make it work,"

Cally nodded and tucked that mental image away for future reference. "Nothing says welcome home like a sexy outfit," Cally said. "Though with the move out to the cabins, that miiight be a little tricky."

"Oh, I don't know. There are curtains, after all, and I'm used to being quiet."
