Squirrel Common Room - Monday Morning

It was nice to be back in the cabins again. Even if he'd been unsure about them at first, Demyx had gotten used to the cabins and he actually really liked them - though he probably wouldn't admit it.

He crawled out of bed and dragged himself into the common room, where he began raiding cupboards and looking for something to eat.

"Good morning Demyx!"

Demyx jumped at the sound of her voice, spinning around in midair and immediately going on the defensive. "Who-- oh! Hi, Pippi." He straightened up again, brushing off his long black coat self-consciously. "Is there any food here?"

Pippi held up the bag she had with her.

"If there wasn't before, there is now! How do you feel about oatmeal?"

"What's oatmeal?" Demyx asked curiously, eyeing the bag.

"Well, it's... Coarsely ground grain that you add water or something else to and heat up... It's... I don't know it's oatmeal. It's kinda mushy, but you add stuff to it and it's a very hearty meal."

"Never heard of it," Demyx said, interested. "Let's make some!"

"That's the spirit!" Pippi said.

She fired up the burner on her cooking rig, which she moved into the common room last night, and set a kettle on to boil for both oatmeal and tea (and coffee).

"Unfortunately it's the instant kind, but like I said, we can dress it up a bit."

"There's different kinds?" Demyx asked, helping her get things together but not actually going near the burners. He knew better.

"Well, normally you add it to water and heat it up and cook it a while. But instant you just add boiling water to it and wait a little while"

"Really? Okay. I'm hungry now, so I'm glad it's the faster kind." He grinned, putting an arm around Pippi's shoulders and leaning against her. "...Can we go to Disneyland?"

"Yes of course we can go to Disneyland. Nobody ever said we couldn't go to Disneyland. When do you want to go to Disneyland?"

"Today?" Demyx asked hopefully. "Or sometime soon, like the weekend?"

Pippi laughed.

"I have class today." she said. "Let's shoot for the weekend kay?"

Pip ambled in, dressed in a pair of pajama pants and little else, his hair let free.

"Morning, kids."

"Hi Pip!" Demyx tried not to let his eyes wander. And failed. Miserably.
