Pot-Bellied Pig Campfire, Monday Evening

Zero got out her acoustic guitar and went to see about getting a fire started. She had fond memories of campfires on family vacations as a kid--after the bruises healed from their encounter with the neo-fascists of the beach, that was. There were usually s'mores, but she didn't have any marshmallows yet; she'd have to go to the store tomorrow.

Once the fire was crackling merrily away, she sat back and started trying out lyrics for a new song as she strummed away at her guitar.

"Stop clowning around
Give him back now
This is no good for you
La la la something something-- Squall."

"Do you have secret pyromaniacal urges that I should be aware of?" Cally asked.

Cally pressed a hand against her chest, in faux-shock. "Are you telling me to mind my own business?" Cally smirked as she said it.

Nadia affected (a rather terrible) southern accent. "Whah ah do bahlieve ah ahm!"

Cally winced a little at the accent, then made a big, dramatic sniff. "Fine. I can tell when I'm not wanted."

Nadia refrained from saying something mean, like the nice girl she is. "Aw, honeh, don' goah!"

Cally cracked up at this point. "That accent is the best worst thing ever."

Nadia was grinning from ear to ear. "Hey, American accents can be hard."

"I guess they can," Cally said. "You did a very good job."

"Oah, you ahhh too kahnd!"

Cally cracked up again, actually slapping her knee.

Nadia tried to keep going, but the words were lost in giggles.

Cally regained her composure. "Well, next time there's a talent show? You've got a sure fire winner."

"No idea. But it would probably be good to show people I can do something other than make them cry,"

Cally nodded. "Which you totally can. Erm, do other things, I mean."

"Yeah, I know. But it'd be nice to make sure everyone else does."

Cally nodded. "You'll figure somethin' out."

"Hope so." Nadia shook her head. "But there I go, being all moody again."

"Hey, hey," Cally said, sorta-pouting. "I just got cheered up, so there's no bein' sad on your part. I'll think it just transferred, and then I'd guilt, and that would be bad."

"Right. Cheerful. I can do cheerful. New topic!"

"Muffins!" Cally said. "I like muffins. Chocolate chip or blueberry, usually."

"Muffins are yummy. Have you ever tried a zuccini muffin?"

Cally shook her head. "I don't even think I've ever even had a zuccini."

"That's too bad. They're really yummy."
