TTS, Saturday morning

Willow woke up and sleepily made her way into the living room. She put on a pot of coffee, fired up her laptop to check her email, and waited for proper wakefulness to occur.

Marie wasn't too far behind her. She walked in, waved and grabbed a pitcher of juice from the fridge.

Still not really awake yet, Willow contented herself with waving in a gesture that encompassed both "Hi" and "Coffee's over there if you want it."

Marie finished pouring her glass of juice and went to sit on the couch.

"Morning," Willow said, or tried to. Of course no sound came out.

Broots came into the room, not even close to awake. He nodded at Marie and Willow.

Willow snapped her fingers to get Broots's attention and gestured to her throat.

"You have a sore throat?" Broots tried to say, but nothing came out. His eyes grew very wide and he shook his head in an attempt to clear his ears.

Marie waved and grinned. She didn't know Broots was living in her cabin.

Kaylee wandered out into the living room and waved.

"Good morning," she tried to greet cheerfully. Only there was no sound. Huh.

Broots waved and quickly typed We all lost our voices on his laptop and turned it towards Kaylee.

Kaylee glanced at the laptop and back at Broots. This was her way of silently asking if she could use it to type something.

Marie gave Kaylee a wave.

Kaylee gave Marie a small smile, trying her best to remain cheerful.

Willow silently waved at Kaylee.

Kaylee waved back. Also silently.

Hermione heads out of her alcove, greeting the others in the living room with a smile and a "Hello" that doesn't quite make it. So she tries again.

All right, now she's confused.

Marie waves and gestures at the other people in the room before touching her throat and shaking her head.

She hopes Hermione understands that she's trying to indicate none of them can talk.

She does, and frowns, mouthing, "Why?" It's a simple question, but it's easier to lip-read than asking long ones.

Willow frantically waved at Hermione and tried to ask her if she knew any spells that didn't require talking.

Of course asking this required talking so you can imagine how well that went.

Hermione frowns a lot, trying to figure out what that was supposed to be.

She waves, wondering if it was just hello.

Kaylee smiled at Hermione and waved.

Hermione waves back, points at her throat, and sighs. She doesn't look too happy about this.

She gives a wave back, and thinks she needs one of those.
