Fifth Floor Common Room, Late Saturday Evening.

Cally had hauled up every possible pillow and blanket she could find. She raided a couple fridges and had more than a couple kinds of ice cream.

She had a pile of incredibly happy movies stacked on the common room TV.

This was a night of comradery, ice cream, and movies where no one dies, and possibly all falling asleep in the common room.

Jamie walks into lounge, looking very worried and distracted. Not seeing what he was looking for, he gives Cally a polite wave before heading off.

Walter was ready to be distracted by anything but what was going on in his head, so he came in, waved to Cally, and started filling a bowl with five different random flavors of ice cream.

Nadia would no doubt be along shortly, so he also filled a bag with ice.

Cally waved at Walter and smiled. She was beginning to think no one would end up showing... up.

Walter waved back and rummaged around until he found a clean dish towel to wrap the bag of ice in and took it and his ice cream over to the couch.

He mimed using the remote control and made a what is it? face at the movie playing on the television.

Nadia wended her way back upstairs after her fight with Tyler, carrying one arm carefully and tilting her head forward onto the other arm, trying to staunch a bloody nose.

She was also grinning. Seriously, she'd needed that.

Walter held up the ice pack he'd prepared for her and mouthed Good fight.

Nadia debated whether to use the ice pack on her shoulder or her nose and gave him a thumbs up.

Cally got up instantly when she saw Nadia, blinking.

She pointed at Nadia's nose. 'Ow?' she mouthed.

Nadia shrugged, then winced. I won, she mouthed back.

After trying out this IM think Pippi was pretty sure she had a handle on it.

But she heard movies and the clink of ice cream spoons on ice cream bowls so, she had to go check that out.

Pippi still has a nagging feeling that Walter was trying to tell her that Nadia was mad at her or something but figures it's easy to misunderstand in these conditions.

Seras, who on her way back to the cabins had noticed lights on at the dorms, burst into the common room in all her bandaged hand, bloody, torn shirt glory.

She felt a surge of relief as she spied four people who were very much alive.

Nadia blinked at Seras over the ice pack and pulled it off her face, mouthing something along the lines of 'Madre del dios!'

Seras, however grinned, too relieved to see her friends to really care about her injuries for the moment.

"You're not dead!" she cried out. Well, silently. But, at this point people must be getting good at lip reading.

Pippi looked up at Seras and stood up.

Seras bit her lip and scribbled on the board.

The bandages impeded her, and her writing was noticeably awkward.

Seras smiled and waved back.

The ice cream looked good, but her stomach wasn't exactly in the best of shapes. She settled for easing down onto the couch, letting the cushions cradle her.

It meant Cally could fall asleep in the common room while everyone was still conversing. So she curled up on her corner of the couch with her pillow, and fell asleep, her blanket half drifting off her as she silently snored.
