Camp Gym - Wednesday afternoon [after workshops]

For various reasons, Molly hadn't been to cheer practice in a while. She wasn't sure if there had been one earlier in the day or not, but after her afternoon workshop, she headed over to the camp gym to practice on her own.

After pulling out several of the mats, she sat down to stretch out and warm up before she moved on to the actual cheer routines.

Anakin walked in and gave Molly a smile. "Hey," he said, heading towards the punching bags.

"Hi, Anakin," Molly said and smiled back. "How are you today?"

"Bored," Anakin replied, scowling and giving the punching bag a solid hit. "Reading about taxes gives me a headache."

He hit the bag again. "But I have to know this stuff for when I go home. I just wish it wasn't so dull."

Molly made a face in sympathy. "It sounds boring."

She frowned a little at his mention of leaving. "You could always just stay here," she suggested. "Then you wouldn't have to study the tax stuff."

Anakin gave her a sad smile. "Wish I could. But I have responsibilities back home that I've been putting off."

He gave the bag another smack, then kicked it for good measure. "How are you?" he asked, trying to change the subject.

Molly made a face again when he talked about responsibilities, but it had been worth a shot.

"I'm good. Things seem to be getting back to what passes for normal around here," she said with a grin.

Anakin grinned back. "Not that trying to explain the Jedi Order using a wipeboard and facial expressions wasn't a joy," he said, "but I prefer talking."

Molly laughed. "Who did you have to explain it to?"

"Seras," Anakin said. "I think I might've lost her about halfway through."

Molly grinned. "Not surprising. You'd probably lose me before that if you tried to explain it right now."

"Defenders of peace and justice, blah, special powers, blah, lightsabers, blah, galaxy far, far, away, blah, no dating, et cetera," Anakin said, smiling. "Did I lose you?"

Molly laughed again. "Nope. I kept up just fine. I have a feeling you skipped some stuff though."

"Maybe a little," Anakin replied, eyes twinkling. He concentrated on battering the punching bag for a moment. "But it's not like you want to become a Jedi or anything." He frowned. "Like Greg. What a weirdo."

Molly rolled her eyes. "Gregette and Johnina and Petra too. All weirdos. Greg is trying to become a Jedi now too?"

Anakin nodded. "He showed up at my cabin dressed in a bathrobe with my haircut," he said, sounding insulted, "and told me that he wanted to be a Jedi. He wouldn't take no for an answer."

Molly shook her head. "He's insane. Did you give him detention or anything?"

Anakin looked deeply disappointed. "I didn't even think of that," he said. "I was just trying not to kill him."

Molly couldn't help but laugh again. "You'll have to remember it for the next time he bugs you," she said. "And after dealing with Gregette, I can almost guarantee you there will be a next time."

"I don't doubt it," Anakin said. "He had this look in his eye when he asked if I was a witch...I have a bad feeling about it."

"Maybe you should talk to Isabel. See if you can get her to call him off."

Anakin nodded. "Couldn't hurt," he said. "I'm sure he's not trying to make me angry. He just...is."

Molly nodded. "I understand the feeling," she said wryly. "It isn't as bad when he and the others dress up and claim to be cheerleaders, but I think that's because they have to spread the being annoying out among all of us."

"How's cheerleading going, aside from the party crashers?" Anakin asked, flinging himself down onto the mats.

"I've missed a few practices because of everything that's been going on, so I'm not real sure," Molly said with a shrug. "I'm having fun when I do make practices though." She grinned.

"Everything that's been going on?" Anakin repeated. "Speechlessness and Jello monsters, or other stuff?"
