2nd floor common room, afternoon

This week was just weird. So Cameron had gathered all the needed ingredients and headed back to the dorms to use the kitchen in the 2nd floor common room to make brownies. It couldn't be that much harder from chocolate cake, could it?

((Am unexpectedly getting dragged out of the house. AFK for a couple of hours, but I'll pick up as soon as I get home. Back.))

Molly sniffed also. "Nope, I don't smell burnt at all. Just brownie."

There was a tiny bit of a boogie going on as Cameron grabbed a knife and started cutting it up in smaller pieces. "I'm thinking it might be a bit too hot to just dig in."

"Yes," Molly said with a nod. "You need to let them cool down or they just fall apart when you try and take them out of the pan."

Cameron sighed. "I'm guessing blowing on it won't help?"

Molly grinned. "If we're just testing them, we really don't need them to be pretty," she pointed out. "You could always pull out a couple, even if they do fall apart, and let the rest cool in the pan."

"That's not very patient," he tilted his head, staring at the brownies. "There a tub of chocolate ice cream in the freezer."

Molly grinned even more and bounced over to the freezer to get the ice cream.

"Perky," Cameron smirked an grabbed two plates. He carefully picked up two slices of brownie, hoping it wouldn't crumble too badly.

"It was different," Molly said as she set the ice cream down and opened it up.

"Uh huh," Cameron nodded. The brownies had fallen apart, but it was still very much edible. He hoped, he snagged a piece from his plate and popped it into his mouth.

Molly watched him for a reaction. "Safe to eat?"

"Chocolatey," he grinned and motioned to her plate. "Try," he said as he took the tub with ice cream from her and grabbed a spoon.

Molly took a bite of brownie. "Yum. Brownies," she said with a grin.

"I'll take it's edible?" he checked and scooped ice cream on top of the brownies.

She nodded. "Very good." As soon as Cameron was done scooping, Molly grabbed a fork and took a bite with both brownie and ice cream. "Even better with ice cream."

"Good, because it would have been a shame if it didn't go well together with ice cream," Cameron said seriously, picking up a spoon to try it himself.

"I like the way the ice cream melts into the brownie," Molly said as she ate more.

"Mmmmmmmm melty," Cameron agreed with his mouth full.

Molly grinned. "Successful brownies. Congratulations."
