Dean was ensconced in front of the tv, plenty of unhealthy snacks within easy reach. On the tv was something with a lot of car chases and explosions. Perfect for mindless viewing.

"You were in her detention. What do you think?" Dawn asked, leveling a look at him.

"...I think I'm going to die. Possibly slowly. Definitely painfully."

"I wish I could argue," Dawn said, patting his hand.

Sam smiled softly, looking down at Dawn's hand. "Maybe I'll come down with some sort of horrible sickness during the night, and I can miss class."

"We can hope?" Dawn squinched her eyes tightly for a few seconds, then opened them and looked at Sam. "Anything yet?"

Sam snickered and shook his head. "Nope. Just the same sensation of impending embarrassment I've been having since this afternoon."

"Huh." Dawn looked him over. "Yeah, I think you're stuck. Sorry."

Sam sighed. "Promise me you'll take care of Dean when I'm gone?"

She nodded solemnly. "I promise. But you're way better at annoying him."
