Dean was ensconced in front of the tv, plenty of unhealthy snacks within easy reach. On the tv was something with a lot of car chases and explosions. Perfect for mindless viewing.

"Yeah?" Xander raised both eyebrows. "What'd you do that balances out a house fire for fun?"

"Oh, got sneak-attacked by my brother Eric, hung out at Hayley's Cyberspace, got Ethan to trick out my laptop. Pretty much the usual Reefside stuff, except that Kira wasn't there." Conner stretched a little bit. "Soccer tryout was fun too even if I didn't finish."

"That does sound kinda packed with vacationy goodness," Xander said, impressed. "Mostly I just hung out at the beach, with a ... brief musical interlude of which we need not speak."

"Did I miss out on another weekend of weirdness?" asked Conner, raising an eyebrow. Okay, both of them. "One that didn't follow me out of town this time, at least?"

"People thought they were other people on Saturday," Xander said, making a face. "Some of us them sang."

"Bizarro, dude," remarked Conner. "That's almost like making up for the no-talking thing from the week before or something!"

"Well, if I had to choose between creepy heart-slicing demons or musical theater, I guess I'd go with the second one," Xander admitted.

"I dunno," Conner said dubiously. "Depends on the musical theater, 'cause there's some early Andrew Lloyd Webber stuff that could make you wish you had your heart sliced out."

Oh God, did he just admit to knowing anything at all about musical theater?
