Bridge was sprawled on the couch, flipping through channels absently until he settles on one broadcasting a concert: Kira Ford, Live From New York.

Jamie weaved from over on the couch. "Hey, Tyler! Blown anything up lately?"

"Not that I can remember," Z said. "But I'm not Tyler. I'm Z. You're Hamlet, right?"

"No, I'm Jamie. Hunh." That wasn't the first time he'd been called 'Hamlet' today. Weird. "You don't think there's another weird spell thing going on, do you?"

Z passed a nametag over to Jamie, who looked just like Hamlet. "I think this school is all screwed up," she said. "You look like Hamlet, I look like Tyler, and who knows who looks like me or you?" She ran a hand over her hair. "And! I had to serve detnetion and the real Tyler got off."

Jamie wrote his name on it, and stuck it to his green shirt. "Well, that must bite. You'll have to make Tyler make it up to you later."

"But that still doesn't explain why this is happening. Why would someone make us all randomly switch bodies? And who'd do that?"

"I don't know," Z said. "Maybe it's evil aliens."

She looked at Jamie again. "Hey, can you duplicate in that body? I can't in this one. It sucks even more."

"Guess there's only one way to figure out." Jamie pulled his arm back, and punched himself in the face.

And promptly knocked himself out on the floor.

After a couple seconds of blacking out, and the start of what looked like a very nasty bump, he pulled himself up and looked around. No other Jamies.

"Nope. It looks like I can't use my mutant powers either."

"If you do that much more, you probably won't be able to use your brain," Z pointed out, blinking. "Are you okay?"

He shook his head. The spot were fading from in front of his eyes.

"I think so, but I probably shouldn;t have hit so hard. Usually when I do that, it just makes another copy of me to help put on amusing puppet shows, not knock me out."

"You should do that tonight," Z suggested. "A puppet show. Though it's probably harder with just two hands." She scowled at her own, willing herself to copy some more. Nope.

"Hey, since neither of us can make Dupes right now, wanna help me out? It'll almost be like we each have an extra pair of hands."

"Maybe," Z said. "I don't know. I'm not really creative that way and the player is going out for a few hours shortly, which I blanked on when we started down this road." She wrinkled her nose. "Ask me later?"

"Hey, that fine with me because the mun has to go out to grab some dinner sometime soon. If you're still around later, want to join me in some prank revenge on whoever did this to us, as I like to do."

"That sounds awesome," Z said happily.

"Good, good. Although I suppose we still have to figure out the who and why of this whole mess."

"We do," Z agreed. "I don't know. Maybe I should go to bed and see if things are all right when I wake up." She paused, suddenly horrified. "I don't remember where my room is."

"That no good. Do you remember what floor it's on?"

"Two or three?" Z said. "Maybe five? Or I could just take Tyler's bed. It's not like Alec will exactly complain, and I do have his keys." She glanced at Jamie. "Where are you staying?"

He searched his mind for an answer to that question, and found that he didn't know. "I... I can't seem to remember. I think that Nadia's my roommate, but I couldn't tell you where."
