Bridge was sprawled on the couch, flipping through channels absently until he settles on one broadcasting a concert: Kira Ford, Live From New York.

"Because?" said Anders evasively. "It's just . . . um, no offense, man, but that look just isn't you. The whole looking like Angela part, I mean."

Joxer brightened at that. "It's not much of a look for a warrior," he agreed. "Maybe the armor helps? Hopefully this will all be over soon."

"Oh yeah, the armor helps, totally." Privately, Anders thought that Angela was more intimidating a warrior than Joxer any day, but he wasn't going to say so. When it came to dealing with Joxer, he tended to take a minimalistic approach. "And please, Lords of Kobol, please let this be over soon."

"I'm praying too," Joxer said seriously. "You think this is another trial from the gods?"

"It could be," Anders replied. "I'm not really religious myself, but it could be. Maybe they're telling me I should be more religious. Who knows?"

"It's important to take the gods seriously," Joxer said, and frowned. "Are your gods the same as mine? I don't know of Kobol."
