The roof, Tuesday morning
Nadia wasn't singing. She wasn't reading, or writing, or brooding while staring out at the town or dancing. She wasn't even eating brownies.
She was just lying on her back in her swim suit with a pair of sunglasses on and some sunscreen and generally just enjoying the feeling of the sun on her body.
She may or may not also be taking a nap.

"You know, any time I dreamed after getting injured in Argentina, it was always just about me. Not about anyone else. There really is something about Fandom."

He shrugged and speared a bite of egg. "I suppose it's no odder that what happened with the elixir here might affect you differently here."

"We just spent the weekend thinking we were other people for no reason at all. Not just us, this time, but half the bloody island, apparently. And what happens? Most people write it off as 'a Fandom thing.' This other matter doesn't seem any stranger, and a little easier to explain."

He had another bite of egg and thought of a piece of good news. "Pippi said she'd ask Pip out again."

"Just imagined a determined Pippi Longstocking coming after you for a date. I don't think you'd need poking from other people."
