Fourth floor common room, Tuesday afternoon

With righteous electric guitar riffs, ground-level camera angles, eyecandy for the teenage boys, action sequences more elaborate than Jonesy's pick-up lines, and absolutely nothing resembling a plot, it could only be Boardwarriors III.

Come. Watch. Rock out if you wish.

Sakurazaki was dabbing a towel at her still-damp hair as she leaned on the doorframe of the common room. "Hey. Didn't we 'watch' this before I left last weekend?" Yes, she realizes the irony of her word choice. And, yes, it does make her blush significantly.

Jude chuckled, a bit of pink tingeing his own ears. "I'm surprised you remember," he teased.

"A good warrior always notices even the most passing of details." Sakurazaki nodded sagely.

"I'm gonna hafta work on being more distracting then," Jude grinned.

"Believe me, Jude, you're plenty distracting enough," Sakurazaki drifted over to the couch and plopped down beside him. And instantly shifted, stiffening, releasing a small grunt. It wasn't until sitting that she realized that perhaps she'd rewrapped the bandage around her waist a little too tightly.

The boardwarriors were instantly forgotten as Jude turned to her, one hand going to support her back. "Geez, bra, ya gotta take care of yourself," he said. "You should be in bed or something."

Sakurazaki waved a dismissive hand. "Nah, I'm fine. I just wrapped my bandages a little too tightly." She tries to loosen them a little with a bit of squirming and some pulling, but it isn't working very well.

"Want me to uh," blush, "Help with that?"

Well, now, this was an interesting predicament; Sakurazaki blushingly had to decide which was more uncomfortable, indecent exposure or being unable to breathe. Reason won out over decency.

"Ummmm, actually?" She gulped, turning bright red but trying to treat it as if it weren't a big deal because it shouldn't be. But it still kind of was. And breathing was important. She shifted her position, turning her back to Jude a bit. "If you wouldn't mind...it's just the one wrapped around my waist; should only need to rewrap the last part of it to loosen it..." She was very careful and precise about exactly how she untucked her shirt and lifted it to the problem area.

Jude nodded in response to her instructions, biting his lip in concentration and diligently keeping his eyes on the bandage and nothing else. He had worn enough of them himself that his job of rewrapping wasn't too clumsy, and his hands were gentle as they moved.

Bandage resettled, he leaned over and kissed her shoulder, right where it disappeared into her shirt. "How's that?"

The kiss on the shoulder was definately unexpected, and it sent a little bit of a shiver through Sakurazaki. The sort of uncontroled physical response that she didn't know what to do with; she shifted into it a little with a slight whimper, blush softening. She sort of forgot what Jude may have been asking about and could only respond with a breathless, "Good. That...that's good."

Jude grinned at the reaction he got, even as he tugged her shirt back down and smoothed it softly.

And then, because he could, he kissed her again, slightly higher this time.

Sakurazaki's head was just a mess...a mess...with a sorts of different, conflicting thoughts and reactions, absolutely none of which she knew what to do with, so she used the kiss as sort of a centring point in which to force all the excitable flailing off to the side enough to settle back after the kiss with a small smile and a calm, "Thank you. Much better now." Calm facade, while, underneath, utter mental and physical chaos because, oh my God, that was amazing, and she didn't know how to deal with amazing like that.

Jude chuckled. He slipped his arms - gently - around her waist, tugging her backwards, almost into his lap. He didn't know exactly what he was doing, but she seemed to like it. And he was pretty sure he wasn't slobbering over her neck like a St. Bernard.

So he kissed her again. Always one to push his luck.

Somewhere inside her head, Sakurazaki knew she should be past all this, but the weekend had really inspired a bit of a digression in her. Panic alarms started to go off in her head, encouraged by her inability to settle her chaotic thoughts and find something solid to land on. She didn't want to seem rude or have Jude misinterpret her actions, but, at this point, she really had no control over them as she pushed gently away from him.

"I...I'm sorry," she gushed, faltering slightly, shoulders starting to cave in defensively. "I just...I'm sorry, Jude. Not...not today, okay?"

And he shouldn't have done that one last kiss. His shoulders sagged, but he nodded. "O-okay, bra." His hands slipped from around her waist and he moved back himself, trying not to look too bummed. She was still injured and all that. He shouldn't have been all over her in the first place. Silly Jude.

He may have tried not to look bummed, but Sakurazaki knew better, and she winced a little. "I...I'm sorry," she apologized again; maybe she should just have followed through on her instinct to just flee. "I can...I can just leave if you want. I didn't mean to interupt your movie, or anything..."

Jude scowled mellowly. "No." Then he realised how that sounded and stumbled on, losing the scowl and keeping the mellow. "I mean, not if you don't want to . . . because I don't want you to go."

Sakurazaki nervously shrugged a shoulder. "Of course I don't want to..." she said quietly.

Jude smiled at her, more than a little dopey. "You sure?"

God, and that smile always got to her. Smiling back, Sakurazaki took his hand, wrapped her fingers around his. It wasn't much, but hopefully he'd understand that it was a lot for how much she'd panicked. "Yeah, I'm sure."

Jude squeezed her hand very lightly, his smile getting brighter. "Good." He shrugged a bit, looking sheepish. "I thought I'd scared ya off or somethin'."

Sakurazaki shook her head, looking equally sheepish herself. "No...if anything, it's myself scaring me off." ...Wasn't sure if that made sense so she added, "It's not your fault at all."

"Hey, that's a first!" Jude beamed. "It's always my fault."

Sakurazaki had a severe complex with placing guilt on herself and she knew it. She arched an eyebrow at Jude. "When has it ever been your fault before?"

Jude shrugged. "Dunno. Back home, when something goes wrong it's usually my fault. Or Jonesy's. But usually mine. I'm just not good at keeping things straight in my head, I guess." He didn't look too bummed, though.

Sakurazaki shook her head a little. "Don't think that's ever going to be a problem around me," she muttered her thoughts out-load, gave him a small smile and a squeeze of his hand.

Jude smiled dopily back at her.

This continued for quite a while.

Because they were total dorks like that.

John wandered aimlessly past, trying to cause mischief. Or just being bored.

"Duuuuuuude."

"Dude?"

"Dude." Jude jerked his head towards the room, indicating that he was more than welcome to come in.

"Dude." John inclined his head towards Miss McNinjaPants. I mean, chilling with friends is one thing, but being the third wheel is another.

"Dude!" Jude gestured towards the scrapes and bandages. She was injured, he wasn't going to pull anything!

"Dude?" John indicated that he wasn't sure how gentlemanly Jude was, despite him being extremely laid back.

Jude shook his head, deeply hurt. "Dude."

John shrugged. "Dude." He knew how Cali guys were. He still is one.

Jude, however, was Canadian. And they were nice, polite boys up in those parts. "Dude." He jerked his head towards the room again, his eyebrows lifting.

Oh, sorry. John was unawares of the Canadia skateboarding scene, as it was definitely a Cali-centric sport. At least, in his eyes. "Dude," he said, slouching into a chair.

"Dude," Jude said in mellow triumph.

Sakurazaki gave him a little wave from the couch. "Hi, John. ~~You miss Ranma, don't you?~~"

"Heya, McNinjaPants. 'sup? ~~With every bullet so far.~~"

Sakurazaki scowled slight, eyes narrowing. Being reminded of that title just lead to a terse response. "Not much, just watching a movie, obviously."

"Not obviously. This looks like some shared couch action. Oooh, is this Boardwarriors III? The one where the guy does the thing with the stuff?"

"Oh? You know it?" Sakurazaki had a feeling she hadn't missed much the first time she and Jude tried to 'watch' it.

"It's not bad. Two of the guys do a kickass motocross flick. I met the stunt coordinator. I wish I could do badass shit like that."
