2nd Floor Common Room [Tuesday Evening]

All dried off after Scoobying that afternoon, Bridge is now curled up on a couch in the common room, watching reruns of The Amazing Sci-Fi Submarine Show¹. Because it amuses him to watch a show from over ten years ago that supposedly takes place in his time.

And predictably, Anders comes bouncing in. He even remembered to bring a tray of cupcakes this time, but he's not touching them himself.

"Hey, dude! What're we watching?"

"Scifi Submarine Show," Bridge says. "Which is not entirely accurate in their depiction of my time, but... dolphin," Bridge says, pointing at the TV, where Lamarck the dolphin is currently onscreen.

"Aw, when is it ever accurate? It's TV," says Anders, holding out the cupcake tray. "But I guess you can forgive anything for dolphins, huh? What is it about dolphins? The blowhole?"

Bridge snags a cupcake, of course. "Thanks, dude. And I dunno what it is. They're cute and they swim, and they're just... cool."

Dean wandered in, drawn by the noise of the tv. "Oh hey, I remember this show," he said, dropping onto the couch beside Bridge.

"I've never seen it," Bridge admits. "Till now, anyway. The dolphin makes up for the lack of accuracy about my time."

"Dude, the dolphin totally made the show." He grinned. "And he made up for the lack of accuracy with its own continuity too."

"I hate when shows ignore their own continuity," Bridge gripes. And then because he can't resist. "So did you do anything particularily embarassing when you thought you were Sam this weekend?"

Rory gingerly vaulted herself over the back of a couch. "My dad likes this show," she noted. "It always looked silly to me."

"It is, kinda," Bridge says. "But dolphin!"

"I like dolphins," Rory said, nodding. "They're cute. Do you know how close they are to humans, in terms of intelligence and emotional range? They're up there with apes."

"It got silly by the end but it was pretty good at first," Dean argued. "And the dolphin was cool."

"I can get behind the dolphin," Rory agreed. "I'm very pro-dolphin. But it's still kind of hokey."

"Perfect ten, Gilmore!" Anders pretended to hold up a sign.

Z was looking for something to do when she passed the common room and saw Bridge inside. "Oh, hey, there you are. What the heck is on the TV?"

"Here I am," Bridge says with a nod. "The Amazing Scifi Submarine Show, apparently. Supposedly, it takes place around 2018."

Zack wandered down from the third floor and flopped down on a couch. "Evening."

"Sci-Fi Submarine Show?" Zack asked, noting what was on the television. "That's still running?"

Xander wandered in late after - and yes, he was still trying to get over the heart-palpitations himself - spending most of the evening doing laundry. Hey, at least he'd got a head start on that in Scoobying...

"Hey!"
