1st Floor Lobby: Saturday, a bit after noon

After the phone call from River which confirmed that yes, Angelo was still probably in the dorms, Parker's determined to be systematic about this. Which is why she's in the lobby, and about to work her way up.

He can't be everywhere at once. Right?

It just so happens that Parker is exactly the person Fraser's looking for when he returns for his walk around the perimeter of the school.

"Miss Parker. Good afternoon."

Aaaaack. Parker smiles brightly, just like she always does, but her hand tightens on the box of CrackerJack. "Hi, Constable Fraser. How's it going?"

"I'm well, thank you for asking," he replies. "Was the radio correct in saying that you were crawling through a vent last night?"

There's no way she could get away with lying about it, but she really wishes she could hide the box of Cracker Jack now. "Yes? Is that a problem? I didn't get bit by any gremlins. Or anything else, for that matter."

"Was there a particular reason you were crawling through the vent?"

"I was just exploring." Parker's smile didn't waver but the eyes probably looked a little tense. "I lost a bet, and I was trying to find my way out in a certain period of time. I got turned around, though. Just ended up on the 4th Floor insead of back at my own room."

"Ah." He doesn't look entirely convinced. "The radio said you were crawling through the vent looking for someone."

"Did it?" Parker restrains the urge to facepalm, and says, "I wonder how they got that impression. Cracker Jack?" She opens up the box and takes a bite herself, hoping it can inspire her to Angelo-heights of energy and enterprise. However unlikely that is.

"No, thank you," he says. "Were you looking for someone?"

"Who would I be looking for?" Is it lying, if it's in the form of a question? Well, yes. But still.

"You tell me," he says patiently.

"Actually, I did see someone," Parker admitted, looking guilty. She kept her eyes down on the Cracker Jack box, and sighed heavily. "He came into my room first. He seemed harmless-- he wanted Cracker Jack. But very confused. I was just trying to track him down and see if there was a problem."

Going to hell, yes she is, lying to a Mountie, that's ten years in the first ring right there.

"Someone came into your room?" That doesn't sound good at all. "And he was not invited? Did you recognize him?"

"Mmm, no. He was using the air vents. Kind of like the Phantom of Fandom, only without any visible scars or tattoos or identifying marks." Parker looks up, and says earnestly, "I just don't think he's a threat, Constable. He acted like a little kid. I thought if I could find him and get him out, no one would have to get in trouble."

And wow, that's all the truth. Parker put another bite of Cracker Jack in her mouth, chewing in resignation and wondering how long Angelo was going to have fun before she could get him *out* of there.

"Threat or not, he shouldn't be going into student's rooms," Fraser says. "Threat or not, that's not allowed. I'm going to have to check into this."

Parker nearly chokes on the Cracker Jack, eyes wide. After a second or two of coughing, she takes a deep breath and asks, "What are you going to do if you find him? When, I mean. When."

"That will be for Principal Washburn to decide," Fraser says. "I only want to ensure that he isn't a safety issue."

Parker nodded understandingly. "Of course. But seriously. I'm sure it's nothing. Compared to zombies and mummies and vampires and Jell-O dragons and ghosts and demons and weetiny bunnies who hug, this is just some kid who's trying to clean the vents. Hope it all works out, though."

No, she's not stressed. Why would you think that?

"If you see this person again, don't be afraid to come and find me." He nods and smiles. "Thank you for your time today."

"Always a pleasure, Constable." Parker gave him her best smile, and tried to wander nonchalantly toward the first floor dorms. She'd just gotten an idea. "Good luck on that."
