Outside dorms - Friday evening

Someone had dropped lots of snakes over the park. That had distraced River from the water balloons. She found the strange animals fascinating and had picked up two of them, holding them gently behind their heads and bringing them back with her for further examination. And perhaps as friends to Berthold.

The snakes hadn't been entirely cooperative, and had wriggled constantly. Now one of them had circled River's arm, while the other was trailing in the ground next to her.

She was upsetting the snakes. It wasn't a good feeling.

Tim was soaked. He squelched his way back to the dorms to change into dry clothes.

River waved to Tim. That also involved waving a snake.

Tim's eyes widened. "Woah. You have snakes." yes, Tim was an observent boy.

"Yes. They're upset. I want them to meet Berthold but they are scared." River looked concerned.

"Uhm," Tim said. "I'm no expert on snakes, but, it might have something to do with being held by something much, much bigger than them, taking them who knows where." he scratched his head. "I'm, not sure how one would go about reassuring them."

"I know," River said. "I'm having problems communicating with them. I'd better just take them upstairs and see if Bertie can talk to them."
