Fourth Floor Common Room -- early afternoon

Dean was in the kitchen area, finally cooking up the meal he'd promised Sammy he'd make a while ago. If nothing else, the events of the past week seemed to have worked as a kick in the ass to actually do some of the things he'd been meaning to get around to.

Knowing that food tended to attract people here, he was deliberately making a lot more of the macoroni and cheese than he and Sammy could eat. At worst it would mean there'd be leftovers in the fridge, but Dean really didn't think he'd have to worry too much about that.

Molly was on a search for food and, oh look, here is Dean with food. How lucky.

"Hey, Dean. What are you making?"

"Macoroni and cheese, by request." He grinned. "Plenty to share though, help yourself, Molly."

Molly grinned. "Thank, Dean." She got out a small bowl and took some of the macaroni and cheese. "Who are you making it for? Sam?"

Out of Sunday morning habit, Dawn went looking for food on the wrong floor. "Hi. Is this a private thing, or can anyone join?"

"You can always join," Dean told her with a smile. "Just don't get between Sammy and his dish; you might lose an arm or something."

Dawn glanced down quickly down at her own arm, now mostly healed. "No getting between Sam and the food. Check." She peeked into the pots. "So what're we having?"

"Hey, Dawn," Molly said with a wave. "You doing anything this afternoon?"

Dawn made a big show of thinking about that, then giggled. "Nope. My schedule's completely open. Why?"

Sam watched Dean as he went about cooking, keeping himself out of his brother's personal space, but still getting close enough to try to make sure he got to the food before anyone else.

Dean shot his brother an amused look. "Don't worry, you get first dibs. You'd think no one fed you since the last time I cooked."

"No one's fed me good comfort food since the last time you cooked," Sam pointed out.

Dawn waved at Sam. "I only took a little bit of macaroni, and only after Dean offered. There's still lots."

Sam smiled and waved back. "It's okay. I know Dean made a ton of macaroni, and I know you're not going to eat all of it."

Bridge wanders in to the fourth floor common room.

"Hey, people," he says with a wave, moving to sit down, but then pauses as he sees Dean in the kitchen area. "Oooh, food?"

"Food," Dean confirmed. "Help yourself but stay out of my brother's way. He's vicious over his macoroni."

"Yay!" Bridge grabs a fork and a plate which he fills with macaroni. "Thanks, dude."

"Bridge!" Dawn waved. "Dean made it."

Xander followed Bridge in, though it's safe to say he was aware of the food before he was aware of the people. "Ooooh, I smell radioactive orange stuff!"

"That better be a description of the colour and not the macoroni," Dean said. You never could be too safe in Fandom.

"It sounds so appetizing when you phrase it like that," Bridge says with a snicker.

"I'm sorry about missing class Tuesday," Dawn explained, "but there was a thing. It's better now."

Lana staggered in, wishing she'd worn her sunglasses, and looking as horrendous as she felt. She shouldn't feel like eating at all, but mac and cheese had always been one of those irrational comfort foods for her.

"Loud," she murmured.

"Someone looks like they had a rough night," Dean observed. "Or an overly good night. Either or."
