After handwavily finding out that her little wasn't going to be around for another week, Marie decided to skip out of the party and make a handwavy trip to the store.

She needed to keep her mind occupied, so she decided to cook dinner for anyone who wanted it. But not lasagna again. This time she was making fried chicken and mashed potatoes.

Kaylee wandered into the common room. "Hi Marie!"

"Hey, Kaylee," Marie said with a small smile. "How've you been?"

"I been pretty good. How 'bout you?" Kaylee asked curiously. "Oh! How'd your date go?"

Marie winced. "Not so good," she said. "Jamie was really mean to me."

Marie shrugged. "Okay, I guess. Did you go to that party today?"

"I don't know," Marie said. "But I'm pretty sure no matter what we won't be going out again."

Kaylee went over to hug Marie. "I'm real sorry it didn't go well."

"I talked to Phoebe last night at Lana's party," Marie said. "She offered to hurt him too."

"I stopped by to meet my little," Marie said. "But I found out he won't be here until next week, so I left and decided to cook dinner instead. Do you like fried chicken?"

Marie shrugged. "I don't know. He was always so nice before."
