Third Floor Common Room, Monday Night

Coffee was necessary for the night. It kept their headaches away and kept them hyped when everything else seemed to be getting dull. Even a boring sitcom could turn into a laugh-fit if it was late enough and there was enough coffee.
The common room seemed to be the perfect place to enjoy such simplicities.

Matilda had crept out of her room with a book on the way to the common room to do a bit of late night reading on that comfy couch she saw on her way in. When she got there she frown a bit to see the TV on. Though she was fairly used to reading with a TV on anyway... Then she noted the twins on the couch and smiled, she came around to the front to make her presence known. She looked at the right twin as she addressed them invidually. "Evening Hikaru, Kaoru. What are you guys up to?"

A split second of shock may have been caught flashing across their expressions, but it was hid quickly under their amused facades once again.
"Evening Matilda. We were simply engaging in some... television." They note the book.
"But that can easily be turned off." Kaoru nodded.

She flicks the off switch TK style and the TV behind her fades to black. "Thanks."

That could never get old.
"How far have you tested your limit on lifting things?" Hikaru glances at a chair.

"Not too far... I think the heaviest think I've ever lifted is my mom. So about... 140 pounds. I've never really had a reason to test any heavier than that... Oh wait. You're from Japan. So in kilograms about 65."

"Could you try lifting us?" It would, in fact, be their second airborn trip in the past two days.

"I could give it a shot." She closed her eye a moment to recall the Truchbull's face as she threw her into the "Chokie". At that moment the couch lifted rapidly for a second and the she opened her eyes again and guided the couch with both twins on it up with her pointer finger.

Riding a couch was something they could never say would have happened back home. Especially without the couch gliding on something.
Too bad there weren't any people around to run over tonight.

"Well. This is pretty interesting. I wonder if I could lift a car..." She ponders this while still holding them about 3 feet from the ground.

"What if we flew it out the window?" Hikaru announced, quickly being shoved off the couch completely by Kaoru. "That's why."
Hikaru wasted no time in jumping back onto the couch and 'wrestling' for the 'drivers' seat.

Matilda laughed. "I'm not sure if it will fit to be honest. But maybe tomorrow we can see if the couch in the lobby fits out of the front door."

"If it came in, it must be able to go out again." Nice idea indeed.

She giggles. "Well unless they put it together in the room."

"No matter. We'll make it fit." Hikaru waves a hand in a final-decision manner. "Even if we have to force it."

"By we, do you mean me?" She smirked a bit.

With the addition of a few more pillows, they could even make the couch into a flying fort.

"In the event that a bit of man power is needed..." Kaoru glances at Hikaru, both still riding the 'enchanted' couch. "I'm sure we could maybe lend you some assistance." sarcasm mingles inbetween his words.

"Especially because of your size." It isn't time-with-the-twins unless someone is poked fun at.

"Well maybe if I was 15 I'd be taller than you scrawy Japanese dopplgangers." She's a bit too used to retorts after the teasing at her old school.

"5'9" isn't scrawny!" Kaoru mock-pouted.

"Sure sure." She sticks out her tounge, but it's good-naturedly.

"I guess that is our misfortune, that we can't and will never be able to completely reign over everyone we meet." It's a whimsical regret at least.

"Well that would make everything soo boring and unchallenging don't you think?"

"To be tall? I think it'd be fun to use people's heads as armrests." Hikaru concluded, even though that wasn't a very good reason or arguement for being tall.

She shruged and slowly lowered the couch. "I don't really mind being short."
