JD knew he should be in bed, but he couldn't sleep. So, instead, he was stretched out on the common room couch, staring dreamily at the ceiling, grinning like an idiot.

Those with psychic abilities might notice that his daydreams include boyish thoughts about a very pretty redhead with freckles and very buoyant hair.

"Normal human." Despite that a building could probably collapse on him and he'd be okay. But it was close enough. "As far as I know."

He nodded, looking at Chad curiously a moment. "Could find out otherwise - Fandom would be the place to do it." Smirking, Alec swung his feet to the ground and stood up. "I think I'm going to take myself off elsewhere for now, but it's been fun. Pleasure chatting with you, Chad. I'll see you around."

Chad's mind had already jumped elsewhere through Alec excusing himself, so his adios for him was a nod, a raised hand of a wave, and a grunted, "See ya." He was curling his right fist opened and closed a bit, as if testing how his muscles flexed. Didn't he get his power in that arm because of Ichigo? And, without Ichigo, was he going to lose it? Or was it his own power by his own right now?

Huh. Maybe thoughts for another time.
