The gym, Wednesday evening

Aeryn's not upset, even in the last... week has given her plenty of things to be upset about. Being upset is counterproductive, and she's not going to deal with that at the moment. Instead, she's going to take advantage of the fact that she's actually got some time where no one's watching over her and she's not watching over anyone else to go down to the gym and hit things. Hard. And without gloves. It's just been that kind of week.

Jamie groaned and facepalmed.

"It keeps me from inadvertantly duplicating," Jamie explained. "Until I can make sure that part of me doesn't come out again, the outfit stays on."

The sick thing is, she's dealt with enough instances of people doing things because they weren't themselves to understand it. John himself was reminding her of that only a few days ago. "How do I know this isn't a part of it?" she asks. "That this part of you really isn't the one talking to me right now?"

"Anakin scanned me last Saturday," he replied. "You can ask Nadia, Molly or Kawalsky if you don't believe me. Not that you don't have a good reason to do so."

And the two people she'd actually ask aren't here to ask. Also, it's alarming her that she's not hitting the bag again. "So now what?" she asks.

She's never had someone apologize for almost killing her before. She doesn't quite know how to handle it.

So instead of handling it, she hits the bag again hard, and turns on her heel to leave the gym.

Jamie winced as Aeryn left the room. Granted he wasn't dead which was a possible outcome of the conversation that he considered but still... not the way he wanted the conversation to end.

He then turned and headed back to town.
