The Roof// Friday Evening
Seras had, once again, spent the day in her room. However, rather then shivering under the covers, she'd merely been curled up in bed reading some of her favourite adventure novels.
Now, with her head full of deeds of daring do done by people more noble and lucky than they had any right to be, Seras climbed up onto the roof for some fresh air.
Growing up in either the city or in institutions who had a definite 'inside before dark' policy, Seras had yet to grow tired of gazing up at the stars.
She found a cozy place, took out a scarf she'd been knitting, and settled in to enjoy the show.
[Open!]

"You have a point. We'd have to pay extra careful attention to weather reports. Cleaning them up would be easier, though."

"Oh, bloody hell. Not more of this possible future alternate reality bollocks. I've about had my fill of it."
Irritated, she stabbed her knitting needle into the roof's surface.

"Sorry...I just. I try not to think about it, but it's always there in the back of my mind."
She sighed and wondered how effective a knitting stick would be.

"I was hurt quite badly when I was young. Shot," she said, pointing to the place just under her left shoulder, "I worked hard to be able to use the arm again. But, it's just not as strong. And, my fingers don't bend as well," she added, demonstrating.

"That's why I took up things like knitting, actually. Practises dexterity."

Seras looked a bit sheepish.
"To be honest, I'm really not that fond of doctors or clinics or hospitals..."

"It's the waking up I hate," she said, "Everything's fuzzy and you don't know anything except how much pain you're in."

"I remember...I woke up, and I had all these tubes around me or stuck in me or...whatever. And, everything was such a blurr and I was still dopey from the anasthetics and...well, I thought I was trapped in a spider's web or someting. So, I tried to get out and get away. But, of course, I couldn't move, and..."
Seras closed her eyes.
"Yeah."
