5th Floor Common Room, Late Saturday Night

JD wanted to paint the town red, but, sadly, lacked the necessary art supplies. As a result, he was sitting in the common room with some paper and crayons, resorting to drawing pictures of daisies.

The way JD introduced himself clashed nicely with the crayons. Peter was amused enough to grin. "You have the initials working for you. Nice. I can't do that."

"Why not? Everyone has initials."

"My initials are 'PP'," Peter pointed out. "I'm not going to claim any degree of coolness, but that would be a big mistake."

JD makes a face.

"Yeah, maybe not. But we could make up some initials for you, or maybe a really super cool nickname?"

"I already have some nicknames. I'd rather stick with 'Peter', personally," Peter said, in no way thinking of the "King Dork" moniker.

Peter piper picked a peck of pickled peppers.

"Peter is pretty cool." He bobbed his head.

"How long have you been here?"

"There are a few Peters, though. It can get confusing sometimes," Peter said.

"I've been here since January. Feels like forever, though, in a good way."

"Classes start Monday, right?"

JD looked nervous again, though he did his best to hide it behind bravado.

"Yeah, but I wouldn't worry too much about them," Peter said. "The teachers here tend to be pretty cool, and the students are great. You'll probably be fine."
