5th Floor Common Room, Monday Evening

John Dorian is sitting in the 5th floor common room, attempting to conceal very large quantities of paint. However, he is not doing a very good job about it, so anyone poking their head in can probably see not only that there is paint, but that there seems to be inordinate number of pastels. He is trying, obviously, to look innocent as he waits for some of his friends to, hopefully arrive.

Maybe I should have left a message or something.

((OOC: Open to all. We're gonna paint the common room, and maybe some other stuff. There's a lot of paint. However, there is an octopus on one of the walls in the common room, complete with pirate accoutrements, so don't paint over that. We're just adding some... uh... personality.))

Hermione frowns, but dips her brush in and slathers some onto the wall. "I've never actually painted before," she says. "Not walls."

"You know what," Will said, leaning in, "neither have I. I did the art classes they made us do in elementary school, but aside from that, I'm really not the artsy type."

She slathered on some more paint. Did the towers have blue or pink highlights? "But sometimes it's fun to just kick back and try something new."

"Hm," she says. "Maybe." And she swirls the paint in a squiggly line, because she is daring like that.

Will flashed her a thumbs up. "See how easy that was? I think that putting a bunch of those together is all there really is to art."

"Isn't it supposed to mean something, though?" she asks, frowning at her squiggle.

She shrugged. "I guess. I've never understood art. I figure that if you give it a meaning like 'it represents the futility of suffering through life', some collector that doesn't know any better will still pay you for it."
