Outside Dorms, Friday Night, Probably Midnight

The twins stand outside the dorms with several ~~handwavily gotten~~ bags full of toilet paper. The first week of school needed to be ended memorably, so their plan was to TP the entire school. Grabbing a roll each, they wound up and threw, the toilet paper un-rolling while clearing the building. They had a large area to cover, but plenty of paper.

Sakurazaki, hovering close to the ground to restock the supply of toilet paper she'd just wrapped around the fourth floor in rather glorious sweeps, gasped when she heard that voice. Oh my God.

"Tick-sensei!" The toilet paper roll dropped to the ground; her voice sounded truly scandalized.

Ranma hides two rolls of paper behind his back and tries too look innocent. Like in most things, he's not very good at it.

Both holding two rolls each, it's too obvious what was going on. "Oops..."

"Eep."

Teddy tries desperately to blend into the background, but only manages to turn his face a strange camouflage pattern.

"Duuuuuuuuuude . . ."

Jude wilted, freezing with one roll of toilet paper over his head in prime throwing position, future ammo crammed in every pocket of his voluminous shorts.

"Greetings, Sir The Tick!" John presents him with a hat made from TP rolls, with room for the antennae.

"Thank you, John!" Tick said, taking the hat. In a pleasant voice, he continued, "If you don't mind me asking, what are you doing?"

Teddy stared at The Tick with wide eyes, because wow that was a lot of blue spandex. Then he remembered that he had just been caught TPing the school.

He tried to think about what Iron Man would do in this situation, but decided that drinking wouldn't help.

"We were, just um..." His mind blanked, no excuse was forthcoming. "Concerned about the toilet-paper needs for the wildlife?"

Oh God he was so dead.

"...They probably have... to use the bathroom sometimes too...?" Ranma didn't really get Teddy's logic. But he tried.

Sakurazaki's palm met her forehead, and her wings were slowly starting to wrap around her as if to hide.

Good Lord, she'd just been caught in the company of a bunch of complete morons.

They stare at the tick and his....ridiculous outfit. "Bug off. We're working here." They had just really gotten into it, and they weren't about to be stopped.

John wrapped a hand toughened by repeated weapons training and thousands of trigger pulls around the neck of each twin, aiming for that one nerve cluster there to make sure he got their attention.

Y'know, in a big brother type way, as you do.

"Y'see, sir," JOhn said, turning towards The Tick and mightily resisting conking the two wombclones' heads together, "we're just blowing off a little steam after such a rough first week. I mean, some of the new profs are... interesting."

John man-nodded at some of the others. "And some people, being away from home and in a strange place..."

"Well, it seems to me that you're throwing toilet paper all around the place," Tick said, looking around. "And while I hate to do this to you during the first week of the semester, Justice is Justice. The punishment for vandalism is detention. I'll see all of you in The Danger Shop tomorrow at 9:00 AM! And don't worry, new students! That's just a name! It is rarely actually dangerous!"

The twins can only cough and sputter in reply.

John should probably release his hold. He's a bit distracted by the Wall Of Blue And Authority.

"It'll be a pleasure!" John's almost sincere, that's the scary part.

Detention! From Tick-sensei? Sakurazaki groaned, shoulders and wings drooping. She could totally just cry right now....if the collection of present company wasn't preventing her from doing so.

Jude slumped beside her. "Haaaaaaaarsh . . ."

His hand totally wasn't sneaking out for a comfort fingersqueeze, nope.

Sakurazaki looked up at him from her slump, a small smile sneaking past the shame. "If I'm gonna have detention," she muttered, low enough for just Jude to hear as she returned the squeeze, "at least I know the company's good."
