3rd Floor Common Room: Saturday AM [9-9]

Lana couldn't lie in bed any longer and she was afraid if she got up and started buzzing around the room that she'd wake her roommate. So instead she went to the Common Room and busied herself cutting up a ton of fresh fruit that she'd brought and brewing up some coffee and tea for anyone who might be looking for some breakfast. She also set out a bunch of bagels and muffins she'd picked up.

And at least here if she was singing a bit while she worked she wouldn't be disturbing anyone.

"Really nice date yesterday," Lana said with a smile.

"Oh... which reminds me..." She gave him a look.

Blair was pretty sure he knew what that look was for. "Uh...yeah?"

"Do you know a guy named Jim?"

"I know lots of guys named Jim." Blair stalled. "And one lady, although now that I'm thinking on it it's possible her name was Jin. I can't really remember."

"Mmmm..." Lana said noncomitally. "Really tall, dark hair, new to the school. Is this ringing any bells? 'cause I have it on good authority that you've had a conversation or two with him."

"Oooh. That Jim. Yeah, we've talked." Blair nodded. "We're friends."

"About me, apparently. Something about overprotective fireball throwing friends, maybe?"

Blair rubbed his forehead tiredly. "He mentioned that? Well...um...yeah. I may have mentioned that."

"Why?" Lana honestly wanted to know. Unless...

Oh no. Please tell her Blair wasn't interested in her. Not that he wasn't a great guy, but now that there was the Jim thing going on.... She would never want to hurt him, but...

"Or maybe I don't want to know?" she asked.

"There's just something about Jim..." Blair trailed off, munching idly on his bagel.

"What?" Lana asked. "Really, if there's something I should know..."

Blair shook his head. "I don't know, Lana. It's nothing I can pin down. He just sets me off somehow, but I was just doing what I'd do to any new guy who was going to date you or Maia or Evie or any of my friends."

"Letting them know that you had friends who would not be happy if they took advantage of you." Blair shrugged. "I used Bel to threaten because I don't tend to be a very big deterrant."

Lana nodded thoughtfully. "I guess I can understand that. I really appreciate your keeping an eye out for me."

"But since it looks like he's going to be my boyfriend... Maybe a little less with the threats?"

"Okay, okay." Blair raised his hands. "I will stop with the threats of fireballs. But I'm not going to stop watching out for you, Lana."

"I'd be very disappointed if you did," Lana said sincerely.

She hesitated for a moment. "And, I guess... If you do at some point have more than just a 'feeling' about Jim... You'll tell me, right?"

"Definitely, man." Blair nodded.

"Thanks, Blair. And now..." She pointed to the counter. "Food. Sorry there are no algae shakes for you."
