Outside the Dorms; Sunday Morning

In leui of giving his roommate and his well-protected girlfriend some privacy, Chad made his way outside and found a nice spot underneath a tree. Open guitar case spread out leisurely beside him, he cradled his bass against him as he idly plucked to the music playing through his headphones. Might as well get some practise in. He'd hate to just end up disappointing the band, or feeling that he'd just gotten in merely because he was the only bass player who auditioned. So he'd have to start getting a little more serious about it.

"Yeah," Molly said with a nod. "I'm a mutant with super strength." Then she laughed. "Somebody wanted me to pick you up at the meet and greet lawn party to prove how strong I was, but I figured that would be a little rude considering I hadn't met you yet and the player wasn't online for me to ask permission." She grinned at him.

There was a tiny tug of a grin in the corner of his mouth; the thought amused him enough to grant one, definately.

And he was two seconds away from asking Molly if she wanted to give it a try now, but, just as he opened his mouth, it snapped shut again. The last time a girl had picked him up (were there really so many strong girls at this school? This was nothing but good news to Chad who always worried about more delicate things around him), the results had been pretty bad. And things were, in his mind, going quite nicely with Molly, and he didn't want to have to go through that with her like he had with Ranma.

"If you ever want to pick me up," he said finally, thinking this would be a safe way to put it, "go for it. Just give me a warning first."

Molly laughed again, just a little. "Thanks, Chad. I'll remember that. But, I should let you get back to your practicing now." She stood up. "It was very nice to finally talk to you. I'll see you in class tomorrow."

He lifted his hand in a wave, took back up his guitar. "Yup. See ya then, Molly."

Molly continued on her way to her original destination.
