4th Floor Common Room [Saturday, morning]

Mac is attempting to multitask, and sucking at it.

She's sitting cross legged on a sofa with her quilt and a completely ignored copy of The Belljar on her lap, picking at a packet of raisins when she remembers they're there and half-watching something on TV. She seems to be looking more 'through' the screen rather than concentrating on what's on it, though.

Mac jerked her head away from the TV and blinked at Lavender. "Okay, me? Not possessed. Around here posession, is very bad, and unfortunately totally possible, and I'm really, really not... posessed." At the end of that little speech she did finally take a breath.

"Oh, honey!" Lavneder wrapped an arm around Mac. "You want some tea?"

"I think..." she trailed off and nodded, pressing her lips together to stop herself crying. "I'd like tea."

"OK, ok" Lavender gave Mac a squeeze. She hurriedly grabbed a mug from the kitchen and magically made a cuppa tea.
"Here you go, love." She said handing Mac the tea.

Mac took the mug from Lavender, sent her a watery smile in thanks, and wrapped her hands around the cup to warm them. "I don't even know why I'm crying!"

"Um are you" Lavender smiled. "On your period or something?" Her period always made her cranky.

Mac shook her head slowly, "There's nothing," she added, and finally took a sip of her tea. Isn't tea supposed to be the British cure for everything?

"No," Mac wailed. "It's nothing like that. It's just... bad, and stupid, and I can't stop."

Mac nodded, and wiped her eyes with one hand. "I hope so," Mac sniffled. She dragged herself out of her emo for a moment to ask, "How're you?"

Lavender nodded. "Which I still need to give back to you by the way. But you helped me decide what sweater to wear too. I'm at a loss when I'm not wearing a skirt. Skirts I can do." She said smoothing the purple one she was wearing today. "You don't give yourself enough credit."
