The Gym, Sunday afternoon

Peter arrived at the gym a little earlier and stretched to warm up before Aeryn got there. He felt like his training was coming along pretty well so far.

The fact that he was humming "Eye of the Tiger" should probably be ignored.

Aeryn thought she was here early. She was wrong. "You got here before me," she says, a little surprised.

Peter laughed. "You're getting way too used to me," Peter said. "Okay, what are we doing this week?"

It had worked with Luke, so she figures she can do it now, too. "Good for a spar? Just to see how far you've progressed?"

"Sure," Peter said. "Couldn't hurt."

"But if I start to leave my feet and do any of my acrobatic stuff, yell at me. That's not the point of this training."

Peter put up his guard and threw a punch to Aeryn's side. Start with something simple.

Peter was trying to focus on Aeryn's movements instead of letting his spider-sense do the work. He blocked and took a shot at Aeryn's gut with his right fist.

Peter put his guard up and took a step back. "Well, it's using my arm to keep your arm from hitting me. It counts. Technically."

She takes a step forward, going for an easy hit to his side.

"Hey, would you mind being interviewed for the paper?" he asked suddenly.

"What happned to blocking?" Peter asked, following up with a body shot. Talking made things easier for him. "I'm interviewing people about their sleep habits for the paper. Any interest in participating in my survey group?"

Aeryn does manage to block that, and takes a step back because talking doesn't make things easier for her. "Um, I suppose?"

After a while of hitting him back harder just for that comment, la, and so on and so forth, Aeryn backs off, gaurd still up, and asks, "You want to keep going?"

Peter glanced at the nearest clock. "I think we're good for today," he said, taking a step back and lowering his gaurd guard.

"Just a couple questions, nothing big," Peter said. "First, about how many hours of sleep do you get on a normal night? Second, are there any peculiarities with that? Like, you only sleep during the afternoon or something?"
