Outside Criminal Justice Classroom, Tuesday morning

Bel managed to drag himself out of bed and headed down to the CJ classroom early so he could meet with Willow. He leaned against the wall, waiting.

"Fair enough," Willow said. She took a sip of her coffee. "Okay, so, your request. I don't know any spells offhand that do the pumpkin into a carriage thing and actually I've had some problems with that sort of thing considering that I couldn't manage to turn a rat into a - um, nevermind what I may or may not have needed to turn a rat into or why, but point being it's not something currently in my magic vocabulary. But! I could confab with some of the other magicy times around here if you like? See if we come up with anything?"

"I want to do this whole big Cinderella thing for Phoebe for Homecoming," Bel explained. "It's her favorite fairy tale. I figured I could ask Pippi if I could borrow her horse to pull a carriage, but I kinda needed the carriage -- hence my request."

"See, I need a guy's opinion on what a guy would like or be totally insulted by and normally I'd ask Xander but the one here can't be reached and the one back home... doesn't need to know about this event for reasons that don't need exploring at this juncture and I know you and Peter don't have everything in common but you're still a guy so maybe?"

"I'm narrowing this down for you," Willow assured him. "See, Peter's from the 1940s. Only he's also from this world that has knights and courtliness an all that RenFairey stuff only without anybody actually serving you pizza which is totally inauthentic. So I was thinking, okay, maybe I should wear something 40sish? But he just came from knight-world so maybe I should go for something from that time period?

"But then I thought what if I'm doing that thing where people visit from other countries and you're all 'Hey, I prepared your native food!' and they're all 'Uh, thanks, but I could've gotten that back home?' So maybe I should pick something more modern? Only what if I pick modern and he picks something from home and then we don't match and he's the only one wearing an old fashioned outfit and he's lonely? And then I thought - "

Willow was going to keep babbling unless something stopped her. Unfortunately a need to breathe didn't seem to be that thing.
