Second Floor Common Room, Wednesday Evening

Sakura had a notebook, a pouch full of multi-coloured pens, and a pair of headphones in her ears. She was curled up, taking up about two thirds of a single couch cushion, scribbling furiously in said notebook. Her lips were moving every now and again; apparently singing along with her music.

[[It's a common room, I can't keep anybody else out. Open with a capital O.]]

Edward was bored, and as such, was wandering the dorm. There was really only so much isolation he could take on any given day.

That, and he couldn't find his copy of the Corpus Hermeticum.

Fortunate Edward's hair was bright yellow, else Sakura probably wouldn't have bothered to look up. She popped a headphone out of her ear and grinned. "Ed," she said, waving a hand up and down in a beckoning motion(although it probably looked to him like she was waving him away or imitating a gay man). "C'mere!"

Edward glanced around the common room. "Didn't this place always used to be hopping?" He wandered over to Sakura. "Don't flap your hand at me like that, I'm not a dog."

Sakura glanced around pointedly, then. "...it's a Wednesday evening, I guess people don't sit around the common room on Wednesdays?" She shrugged, and then stared blankly at him, then her hand. "...oh. Whoops." Her hand went behind her head. "...force of habit." She then pat the couch beside her. "Come sit with me."

Edward cocked an eyebrow at her, then flopped on the couch. "You haven't seen any of my books floating around recently, have you?

Sakura blinked at him. "...If you mean the ones that bite, definately no." She folded her notebook closed and set it on the end table beside her. "And I haven't the foggiest as to what else you read, other than a lot of stuff I can't make heads or tails of, so no." she shrugged.

"Oh, well." Edward plopped his feet up on the coffee table and slouched into the couch. "Anything new going on with you?"

Rolling her eyes in a non-demeaning fashion to look at the ceiling, Sakura nonchalantly slouched to lean on his shoulder. "...Trying to get some decent notes down on my 'breed' of magic for Ms. Calendar, to make up for my truancy in her class last semester," she offered, shrugging again. "...and homecoming is in two days." She frowned. "...crap, that requires a dress, doesn't it?"

Edward looked at her funny. "I think that requires a dress, yes. I get the feeling if you show up in your underwear that they're not going to let you in."

There was a strange little strangled snort from Edward's shoulder, and suddenly Sakura was sitting up, redfaced and flailing. "I wasn't going to show up in my underwear," she squeaked, and bapped him lightly on the back of the head.

After a moment's consideration, she grinned. "You'd enjoy that too much."

Edward flailed at her. "I - that is - ACK." He sunk down lower in his seat and looked anywhere else than at her.

And Sakura folded in two on the couch and giggled helplessly at him for about ten minutes.

"I was kidding," She said, flopping over to hug at his arm when she could breathe again. "I'll go into town tomorrow and get something; I've got no classes."

His feet were still solidly more interesting than anything else. "I think I've still got a suit. Al wouldn't let me come back without one pair of nice clothes."

She squeezed his arm, then leaned away and regarded him surprisingly seriously. "...you cleaned up really nice last year," she said absently, then sat up and shuffled her notebook and pen pouch around on the table. "...I'm gonna have to keep an eye on you so nobody snatches you away." Grin.

Edward snorted at that. "Yeah, like that would be a problem." He knocked idly on his right shoulder. "What a catch, right?"

Sakura frowned suddenly, sitting back against the couch and reaching to rest her fingertips against his metal shoulder. "...it makes you you, dorkface." She placed the rest of her hand over his shoulder and squeezed, despite the fact that he probably couldn't feel it.

John's bored and wandering through, as it's anyone's common room.

Sakura waves, even though she doesn't really know John. Seen him before, but does she remember his name? Doubtful. "Evening," she called.

John waves back. "Heya." He nods at Tiny McPygmy. "Shortstack."

Edward, of course, did the first logical thing. Which was to flip off John. "Asshole!"

Sakura rolls her eyes and flicks the side of his head. "Chill pill," she said simply.

"Mister Alric, I've always admired your dignified company and enjoy conversing with you."

This was, of course, followed by a crotch grab that Sakura couldn't see.

John had approximately ten seconds before Edward would get himself free from the couch and clear the coffee table. It would be best if he used that time wisely.

Unless Sakura chose to attatch herself to his waist as he cleared the coffee table... Which would probably result in both of them falling and possibly breaking the table.

John, of course, wisely spent that time waving friendily at Ed.

After an unsuccessful distraction one floor up, they wander down the staircase on their way outside. While passing the second floor, however, they notice Sakura in the common room and walk over. "Hey!" They both hold up a hand.

Sakura looks up from the current issue of keeping Edward from killing people, and instantly beams at the twins. "Hey guys!" she chirps, waving back.

They smile back, "Other than this.." They nod to ed and his little issue, "What 'cha up to?"

Sakura scratched the back of her neck. "Making plans to go into town tomorrow," she explained, leaning up over the back of the couch.

That reminds Hikaru of the whole dress-shopping craze that's been going around. "Going to homecoming Sakura?"

Her smile turned sheepish, and Sakura's hand went to the back of her head. "...er, yeah." She glanced over her shoulder at the blond half-metal boy sitting beside her on the couch briefly, then turned back to Hikaru. "You?"

He followed her gaze and smirked. "Ah. Yea, we're both going." He leans an arm on Kaoru's shoulder.

Sakura smiled, and then made a face. "...erm, together?" she asked, raising an eyebrow.

Both paused before bursting out laughing. "Don't be ridiculous. Not together."

After a moment, Sakura decided to laugh, too. "Oh, good. I wasn't really sure, yanno, with how you two acted in class..." Another sheepish grin. She looked at Hikaru, then at Kaoru, and then back. "So then, who're you two going with?" Pause. "--If you don't mind my asking,"

Kaoru tinted a little, "I'm going with Matilda."
Hikaru shakes his head. Letting them think he was going with no one was better than saying who.

Sakura tried not to squee at Kaoru's shyness.

...She failed.

"Aah~ Kaorukun that's so cute!" She made a little girlish wiggle motion on the couch. Then she turned to Hikaru. "And you, Hikarukun?"

This only caused more pink to appear across Kaoru's cheeks.
Hikaru shoved a hand in Kaoru's face inducing much flailing. "No one."

Sakura frowned a bit. "Well that's no good," She said, and rested her chin on her arms on the back of the couch again. "If he doesn't mind," She nudged Edward with her foot. "I'll bug you to dance."

Hikaru put on a charming smile, "I'd love to, if that's possible."

Sakura grinned. "Sounds like a plan to me," she said, and shifted to sit back on her knees. "So what brings you two down here, anyway?"

"We're bored. We were upstairs, but no one came by, so we were going to go outside, but then we saw you."

Sakura's grin was a little lopsided. "Silly," she said, and toed off her shoes so she could shift to sit on the arm of the couch.

They both tilt their heads to the side. "Couch not very comfortable?" They notice how much she's been moving around.

She made a face. "...eh, I just can't sit still," she said absently, her eyes travelling around the room. "Couch is plenty comfy."

They give her a funny look, "Why so.. distracted then?" Kaoru shifts in his stance.

Sakura frowned, just slightly. "No reason," She shrugged, then slid back onto the couch cushions. She glanced up and over the back of the couch, upside-down. "Come sit if you want, guys."

"...sure." They walk over and sit for awhile, they've got nothing better to do.
