4th Floor Common Room [Thursday, Morning]

Mac's attempting to distract herself from omghomecomingtomorrow nerves. She's moved from her very quiet dorm down to the common room and is sat cross legged on a sofa concentrating on the sudoku puzzles on her laptop, and munching on a large packet of so totally vegan mint imperials.

There is a Buddies re-run on the TV, just for background noise. She's not really watching it.

Cally wandered in, drawn by the noise. "Oh, hey Mac," she said.

Mac looked up from her screen, grinned and waved in greeting. "Morning."

Cally plopped down next to Mac on the sofa. "Today? My watch will so not betray me."

"No class today then?" Mac asked moving her computer off her lap and onto the table in front of her.

"Nope, not a single one," Cally said. "The day is ours, or something." She smiled, happily.

Mac grinned. "Yay, I love days of leisure. I get all my classes over and done with in two days, so I have a lot of them," she said.

"Wow, nice," Cally said. "I kinda spread mine all out, for some reason. Like, this is my only free weekday, actually."

"Yikes. That makes me very thankful for my timetable," Mac said picking up her bag of mints and offering them towards Cally. "Well, at least we've got a free day on the same day, definitely a good thing."

Cally grabbed a mint. "Thanks," she said. "And yes, free day together is definitely a good thing. We just gotta figure out what to do with it."

"Well, as you can probably tell, I had no idea." Mac pointed towards her computer screen. "Sudoku is one of those things to take up time when you really do have nothing better to do."

"Oh gosh, those things," Cally said. "They are awesome and evil, all at the same time."

Mac waved dismissively at it, "That one was in the realm of evil. But, who cares. I have something way more interesting to do now." She paused and re-thought that sentence, "or, not do, do. Just... nevermind."

Cally blushed and smiled. "I think that might be takin' things a little fast, yeah," she said. "So, ummm, Buddies, huh? Never was a big fan, myself."

"It's one of those shows thats good to watch just for the sake of having something on," Mac said looking over at the TV screen. "Plus, pretty funny sometimes."

"True, true," Cally said. "But if it's supposed to just be background, what's gonna be goin' on in the foreground, exactly?"

Mac smiled and shrugged. "Depends what slse is there to hold my attention."

Cally leaned in a little close to Mac. "What sort of things might get that attention, huh?"

"Oh, you know... you," Mac said grinning over at Cally.

Cally leaned in a bit more, trying to give Mac a kiss.

A definitely happier, less chaste kiss than their last.

Cally pulled back, grinning. "Today is already the best day of the week."

"No competition," Mac agreed happily.

"So, we just gonna keep doin' this, or are there any other plans or possibilities?" Cally asked. "Cause I really don't mind this, honestly."

"I don't generally plan ahead," Mac admitted. "Organisation is overrated. So, the answer would be 'no, not really'. What were you planning?"

"I have no plans either," Cally said. "So making out on the couch and hoping no one walks in? Totally a possibility, in my book."
