Fifth Floor Common Room, Tuesday Afternoon

The couch of the fifth floor common room was currently occupied by Bel and Phoebe, snuggling together and being far too PDA. The TV was on, but they weren't paying much attention, of course.

If anyone thought Bel was trying to make a point, they might be just a tiny bit right.

"Yeah, realized it was a lost cause, you mean," Cally said. Still staring at the floor.

"For good reason!" Bel said. "Because, remember, psycho bitch! And, um, Mac!"

"She is not a psycho bitch," Cally said, looking up at Bel. Her eyes were a bit teary.

"Oh, hell yes she is," Bel said.

"Frak you," Cally said. "You're not going to force me into having to choose between my friends. Last I checked, she never punched me!" She turned and headed towards the door.

Bel blinked in confusion. "What the fuck are you on about?"

Cally stopped in the doorway. She realized she was probably being a little overreacty.

"Sorry," she said. "I just don't like people badmouthing my friends. Especially my other friends."

"Talk to her then," Bel said. "I'm content to mind my own business, but she attacks me every time she sees me, and I'm tired of her trying to interfere with my relationship with Phoebe. Hell, she punched me. On purpose."

"I think I will," Cally said. "Even though she'll probably just dismiss me, like she did when I tried to tell her about what happened being an accident."

Bel snorted. "Figures. Why the hell would I hit you on purpose?"

"I guess if I tried to get fresh with Phoebe, maybe," Cally joked. "Let's just... blah. Forget about this. So not happy, you know?"

"Yeah, tell me about it," Bel grumbled.

"I'll talk to her," Cally said. "Figure out what the heck her damage is. Something's gotta be wrong that she'd be on your case like this."

Bel shrugged. "Fuck if I know. I can't even have a smoke on the roof without her yipping at my heels."

Cally shook her head. "I seriously don't get this," she said.

"And getting on my case about accidentally hitting you when she purposely threw a punch at me?" Bel laughed. "That's hypocritical. And they say I have temper issues."

Cally sighed. "Why can't we all just get along?"

She paused.

"Oh gods, I actually said that."

Bel shrugged. "She's the one with the Issues, talk to her."

"And if she got off your case, you'd be okay?" Cally asked.

"Hey, all I want is for her to leave me the fuck alone," Bel said. "Stay out of my and Phoebe's relationship."

"I'll do my best," Cally said. "Cause yeah. You two got the right to be as happy just like the rest of us."

"Yeah," Bel said, giving Phoebe, who appeared to have dozed off during the conversation, a quick squeeze. "I sure hope so."

"And if not? Well, frak, I dunno. But Nadia's always been reasonable about everything else, I've thought. Hopefully this'll work out fine," Cally said.

"Good luck with that," Bel said. "Let me know how it goes."

"Will do," Cally said. "Guess I'll leave you two alone, now."
