Cheerleading, gym, 16:00

The mats were out, the cd-player was ready and Buffy was sitting on the floor frowning at a mass of print outs, flyers and brocheurs.

As the handwavey posters around school said, today was cheerleading clinic, so anyone who was curious or bored or planning to try-out for cheerleading this weekend could attend and ask cheerleaders for help or just bug them.

While that was happening, Buffy was trying to figure out which competitions to aim for. There was CheerPower in Richmond in January, Spirit of the South in December, and the ACE championships also in December, and those were only the ones she'd looked at so far!

This was going to be really hard to decide, she though as she picked up a flyer for The CrossWorlds Cheerleading Competition.

ooc: Once a cheerleader has appeared in the clinic thread, she or he is totally buggable.

When Lana got the handwavy reminder about cheerleading she gave Buffy a call. "Hey, Buffy, this is Lana." She sounded miserable and exhausted. "I'm not going to be able to make it today. I'm sick and Jim would probably try to tie me to the bed if I try to show up. Sorry.

"Yeah, I'm feeling pretty miserable," Lana said. "And given that I can barely stand up without collapsing... Cheerleading is so not what I should be attempting. I should be better by next week definitely though."

"Hi," River said to Buffy. "How is the week so far?"

"Tryouts? Yes, I will." In fact she had forgot about them.

"I think Bertie ate one of my dresses."

D'anna set down her gear while she retied the laces on her shoe and looked around for a good spot to settle in.

Marie was there, completely covered and wearing gloves, and stretching out. She'd neglected her workouts since her mutation hit, but she was more than willing to help anyone that might be interested in joining the squad.

Molly spent some time stretching out and warming up before she practiced her routines.

D'anna fluffed her pom-poms and wondered if the audience was usable for target practice.
