Fifth Floor Common Room, Afternoon

After lunch, Cally came into the fifth floor common room to meet up with Pippi, so they could discuss their paper for Humor class. For appropriate background, she has a Gelmoore Gals rerun on the TV.

She started doodling in her notebook, waiting for someone to show up.

Pippi flounces in some time after lunch.

"Hi!"

"Hey Pippi," Cally said, smiling. "Your day goin' good?"

"I suppose it is." Pippi nodded grinning. Since this is my first interaction of the day.

"Well then. I guess we should prolly get started," Cally said. She pulled out her notebook.

"So, Musical weekend ya?" Pippi asked. "There was also that weekend when some people thought they were other people... Like Walter thought she was Angela, and Peter Parker thought he was Walter, and Seras thought she was Zero..."

"You think it was particularly funny?" Cally asked. "I mean, parts of it were kinda weird, and stuff."

She was thinking about Nadia as Hamlet. But she wasn't really in the mood to mention Nadia at all.

"It was a little scary at first. But once it hit me what was going on, and I did what I could to make sure people didn't get hurt, it was quite funny."

"I guess I missed out on a lot of the funny parts, then," Cally said. "Though Willow in the highlighter sheet was pretty hilarious."

"Yes, that's where most of the humor came from. People who thought they were somebody they knew well, weren't very funny. But people who didn't know so good the people they thought they were? Hilarious."

Cally started writing some notes. "How do you want to split up this paper, huh?"

"I have no idea... Who else besides Willow did you talk to? I think she's rather the best example."

"Oh, Tyler and Walter and Nadia and that's about it," Cally said.

"Who did Tyler think he was again?" Pippi asked. "Nadia is a bad example, she wasn't all that different."

"Z," Cally said. "And yeah. Nadia's definitely bad."

"Was he funny?"

"Not particularly? It was more that he just sorta seemed like Z." Cally shrugged.

"I didn't think it would be so hard to find something funny about this place..."

"I guess I just miss out on a lot of the funny stuff," Cally said. "Sorry."

"That's terrible... I have an idea! Let's go make something funny happen!"

Cally bit her lip and thought for a second. "Like what?"

She wasn't about to tell Pippi she wasn't in the funny mood.

Pippi also bit her lip in thought.

"Um... We could play a prank on Dr. Wilson?"

"Like what?" Cally said again. "My pranks used to usually involve doors and bright pink paint."

"We could fill his office with those plastic playground balls... Or popcorn."

"That'd require a lot of popcorn," Cally said. "But there's nothing uniquely fandomy about us pranking him that way."
