Fourth Floor Common Room, Monday Evening

Teddy wasn't in the mood for people with super-powers, so he wasn't watching that Supers show. Instead, he had made a big bowl of popcorn and curled up to watch an old DVD, The Excellent Eight. It was based off of some Japanese movie he'd never seen. He made a mental note to rent it some day.

Bridge's player was avoiding spoilers wasn't in the mood for Supers either, so he headed up a few floors until he found another occupied common room.

"Hi Teddy," he said with a cheerful wave, before flopping down on the couch.

Teddy waved back and offered the bowl of popcorn. "Hey Bridge! Want some?"

"Is it buttery?" he asks as he takes a handful, wiggling the fingers of his other hand on the word 'buttery'.

Teddy raised an eyebrow. "Is there any other way for popcorn to be?"

"Some people like it plain," Bridge says, thinking of Sky. "I call them 'crazy people'."

"As you rightly should," Teddy replied, laughing. "So, you a fan of The Excellent Eight or just avoiding that Supers show like me?"

"Avoiding Supers," Bridge admits, and makes a bit of a face. "I've never seen this movie before, actually."

"It's an awesome movie. Cowboys, you see, are like ninjas. They make all movies better," Teddy said, gesturing at the TV screen.

"So would a movie with both cowboys *and* ninjas be like, way exponentially better, then?" Bridge asks curiously.

Teddy paused to give that some thought. "Yes, yes I think it would be."

"And now there needs to be a movie about ninja-cowboys. We should write to the Scifi Channel, they'll totally make it."

"Hmm, who would the ninja-cowboys be up against?" Bridge wonders. "Pirates? Or is that too much for one movie?"

"No, the pirates would have to wait for the sequel," Teddy replied. "The ninja-cowboys would face, um, other ninjas who don't want cowboys to learn their secret arts."

"Then they're probably space ninjas." Bridge says. "They're like that."

"If there are space ninjas, then does that mean that there are space pirates?" Teddy asked, giving the topic careful consideration.

"There are space pirates, yeah. Not the nicest people." Bridge makes a face.

Teddy frowned. He had hoped that space pirate would be fun and sexy, but without all the nasty scurvy.

"I'll make sure to avoid them back home then."

"Maybe space pirates are different in your universe than mine?" Bridge offers. "I mean, we've already established that our Earths are pretty different."

"That's true," Teddy said, nodding and munching thoughtfully on the popcorn.

"Though, if they're anything like most the aliens that show up there, they're probably not the nicest of people."
