The Roof; Tuesday Night.
Cloudy. Impending chance of light rain again, thought it seemed to have stopped. A little chilly. But Chad still deemed it a nice night, bundled up a little more than usual, and headed up to the roof with his guitar. The little expedition in archeology club had him liking the fresh air, and he sat enjoying the view while listening to music and plucking at his guitar. He was singing, too, getting more comfortable with his voice and even more encouraged by the duet he had with Parker earlier, which, though silly, was a hell of a lot of fun. It helped when he found things to compliment his deep voice.
Tonight, he switched between a lot of things. At the moment, Butthole Surfers. He didn't know who the hell Diane was, but he couldn't help but feel envious of her whenever he listened to "Pepper."

"I don't mind the sun sometimes; the images it shows...
I can taste you on my lips and smell you in my clothes
Cinnamon and sugar-y and softly spoken lies
You never know just how you look through other people's eyes..."

"Oh. Ranma." Chad stopped his CD player and slowly pulled his headphones down around his neck. "Hey."

...Way too many Peters at this school. Chad wondered if he missed any.

"Oh, yeah, it was. Thanks."
Actually, it really was not enough for a Chad-sized lunch, so he still ended up stopping in at the the coffee shop for a sandwich, but the boxed lunch had been a really nice addition and he still appriciated it, definately.

Great. Nice. They'd barely even just started being together, and already Chad felt like he was taking advantage of a situation. It didn't help that it seemed that he was trying to reinforce some sort of feminine role on Ranma in the relationship. Sure, he said he didn't mind, but did he really mean it or was he just being nice?

"Uhh, so, for tomorrow, then," Chad said, talking for a change because he didn't want to stick so much in his head. "Mind if I pick one up?"

Chad fell into a silence again, considering. Aw, hell, why not? What's the worse than can happen? A punch to the face and a lost lunch, probably, which he could handle.
He put an arm around Ranma and gave him a little squeeze of a hug. "Thanks. S'really nice of ya."

But since there was no punch, or yell, or even a pull away...there was, in fact, what seemed like a very muted sort of nuzzle...Chad squeezed again, and left his arm lightly there.
