"Okay!" said Buffy, standing infront of the cheerleaders. "Today we have a lot of stuff to decide! First of all, I have pieces of paper here if we want to do a silent vote for the new cheerleaders, but if you want, we can totally just talk about it. The people who tried out were Alanna, Seely, Jamie, Z and JD." Buffy paused. "Unless I forgot anyone?"

She picked up fliers from various cheerleading competitions. "And then I'd like you all to have a look at these, and help me decide which competitions to join. Most of these mean we have to pay an entry fee, so we'll probably have to do some kind of collection drive or car wash -- scooter wash thing. You should also look at when these competitions take place."

She handed out the papers, and if the CrossWorld Championships seemed to get a preference, well, that was surely a coincidence. Yes.

Vote for cheerleaders and discuss the competitions.

Pippi can't decide, they were all very good.

"How many slots are we looking to fill?" Marie asked.

"Definitely one, since Isabel quit, and perhaps three more to get a good solid squad before we go to competitions?" Buffy pondered aloud.

Marie nodded. "Well, if we're looking to take on three of the five who tried out, I'd vote for Seely and Jamie cause we need more guys and Z because she was really enthusiastic."

Lana nodded. "Sounds good to me."

"I totally agree with you on Jamie, but I'm not sure about the rest." Buffy frowned.

"Hi guys. Sorry I missed, there was this term project I was working and got distracted..." D'anna slid into the conversation, "who did the best with the materials, and who had the most spirit?"

"Well, Z was kind of unreal on the gymnastic side," Buffy admitted.

She was in fact around and interested to see what exactly was involved with cheerleading.

"Hello!" said Buffy brightly. "I'm Buffy, Captain of the squad. Who're you?"

Aly smiled at Buffy. "I'm Aly. Molly asked me to stop by and be your faculty advisor."

Buffy smiled back and bounced a little. "Oh, that's awesome! Have you been a cheerleader?"

"That's never really been a specialty of mine, no," Aly replied. "We don't really have sports teams in my world."

Buffy gave her a shocked look. "You're joking, right?"

She shook her head solemnly.

"Oh, I'm so sorry!" Buffy exclaimed. She ran over to her pile of papers and came back with a smaller pile which she held out towards Aly. "Here! There's lost about cheerleading and stuff in here. There's not a lot about football and stuff, but you can see that on the tv." She paused. "You can see a lot of it on the tv."

Aly took the papers with a grin. "Thank you. I'll have to read up on it." She noted the pause. "Football's boring, I take it?"

Buffy nodded. "Yes. Very. Football players can be cool though! And pretty."

"Well, we definitely shouldn't stand in the way of them being pretty," Aly agreed. "That would be terribly wrong."

I believe I shall have chicken for dinner tonight.

I believe I shall have pork-chops with family, and thus will be in and out. Possibly more on the out than the in.
