Nadia didn't go to the roof, like Pippi had said, mostly because she was trying to prove Pippi wrong, not that she'd admit that. Instead, she stepped out into the light rain and pulled the hood of her sweatshirt up over her head and sat down under a tree on the grounds.

Dammit, she didn't have issues, and she did know what she was talking about. And she really hadn't been trying to make Pippi feel bad for being older than she looked or strong. She was just tired of Pippi seeming to always assume that Nadia was wrong and dumb.

She pulled her knees up to her chest and folded her arms on top of her knees, then lowered her forehead onto her arms.
