Halls of Fandom High, Saturday late afternoon

After seeing Zuko's confrontation with his...sister? cousin? young-looking mother? and then watching Marie walk off with said relative, Bel decided to go find Zuko. He'd wanted to follow after Marie, but Phoebe's grandmother was in the way, interrogating Blair. Well, that was going to be uncomfortable and definitely a situation to avoid.

He figured Fraser would haul Zuko to the principal's office, so he started to head there. He walked uneasily, waiting for Raynor to shimmer in again and make another attempt to drag him to the Underworld.

Zuko stomped out of Zoe's office (http://thebluespirit.livejournal.com/3650.html). He didn't seem to pay much attention to anything around him as he was about to pass Bel by.

"Zuko!" Bel called, grabbing at his arm as he stormed past him. "What's going on with that chick?"

"My sister," Zuko scowled up at Bel. "Did you talk to her? Where is she?"

"I didn't talk to her, but Marie did," Bel said. "They walked off together."

Zuko's eyes widened as he knew that wasn't good. "I've got to find her."

Bel frowned. "Is Marie in some kind of danger?" he asked.

"If she's with my sister?" he nodded. "Azula just wants me. I can get her to let Marie go."

"I'm coming with you," Bel insisted. "If Marie's in some sort of trouble, two of us looking is better than one."

Zuko was about to argue, but he realised that Bel was right. The faster they found Azula, the better and as far he knew, Bel was probably the one person here who would be able to stand a chance against her. "Fine, but we should split up. We'll cover more ground like that."

Bel nodded in agreement. "All right, makes sense. They left campus, but I didn't see where they went. Any idea where she might take Marie?"

"Somewhere remote, but not too far so I can't find her," Zuko replied. He hoped he was right because otherwise Azula might have taken Marie back to the Fire Nation and if that were the case... He didn't allow himself to linger on the thought. "She doesn't know the terrain, but she probably scouted it before she made her move."

Zuko nodded and already started heading down the hall when he glanced over his shoulder at Bel. "Azula's a better firebender than I'll ever be and she can bend lightning. Stay alert."
