Fourth Floor Common Room, Sunday Morning

Dean figured he'd spent enough time hiding holed up in his room and besides it hadn't worked very well anyway. So he was in the kitchen cooking breakfast, idly wondering if his brother's food radar would work from a different floor with no advanced warning.

He was sure other people's food radar would work though so he was cooking in quantity.

"You get used to it after a while," Z said. "When I got here I didn't even know it was 2006. Cruger forgot to tell me about the time travel thing."

Kira blinked. "It's 2006?"

"2004," Kira said, blinking.

Z grinned. "You may not get time travel, but guess what? You're doing it already!"

Kira shook her head. "This is seriously too weird. And for me to say that? That really means something."

"You get used to it. Or, well." Z tilted her head thoughtfully. "I guess you won't, since you're just visiting..."

"Going home today," Kira said. "Guess you got lucky and caught me just in time."

"It was nice meeting you," Kira said. "Maybe we'll meet. In... the future."

Kira made a show of crossing her fingers. "Here's hoping."

"Awesome. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna grab some food and get back to hiding in my room before Cruger sees me."
