The Roof, Tuesday Evening

Hamlet headed up to the roof after his classes were over for the day. The roof was nice and cool this time of day, and it provided a great place to think about things.

It had been a fairly normal school day. Still he couldn't help feeling like he'd been forgotten to do something...

As the weather started turning colder, Billy started thinking about getting some warmer accoutrements. Maybe a black trench coat. Why he was thinking about that while heading up to the roof to meditate, probably had to do with the fact that the warmest thing he had really was an old denim jacket and a hoodie sweatshirt.

Both of which he was wearing as he emerged up onto the roof.

Phoebe haad bundled up aand headed up to the roof. A lot of people seemed to think it was a good place for thinking or relaxing -- and after the weekend she really did have a lot to think about.

Billy waved, then quickly shoved his hand back into his pocket. gloves might be a good investment soon. As it was, his hood was pulled so tight it might be hard to recognize him.

Phoebe waved back with a slight smile. "Am I intruding?"

Hamlet looked over as another boy joined him on the roof, and nodded back. He was fairly certain he'd seen the other student around before.

"Billy, right?"

Hamlet noticed that Phoebe had joined them, and shrugged in a friendly way at her question. "Not at all. You're as welcome to be up here as anyone," he said.

Rory hadn't really gone up to the roof before, but it was the eve of her eighteenth birthday, and she needed to think.

So she hauled her telescope up the stairs to the roof and settled down with it, pulling her gloves and hat on a little more securely before she fixed it to look at a certain dot star in the distance.

I didn't forget you, she thought, pretty sure he couldn't hear her but trying anyway. She'd told Luke and Vader, but the one person who needed to hear that was a galaxy away. All she could do was sit quietly and look at the stars.

Kawalsky headed up to the roof for some fresh air and to maybe throw stuff off the edge to pass the time. His plains were foiled when he saw the crowd of people all on the roof. "Roof's a social hotspot tonight, huh folks?"

It took Hamlet a couple of minutes to notice Rory, and a couple more before he tried to say anything. He had some vague suspicions about what the telescope was for, and didn't think it would be best to disturb her right away.

"Looking for far away galaxies?", he asked quietly.
