Cally was very contemplative. So far the reaction to her new powers weren't the rousing 'hurrah' she'd kinda hoped for.

So here she was. Popping individual kernels of popcorn, because she could. Plus, it was really helping with that whole focus and control thing.

Gelmoore Gals and Vanessa Saturn were on tonight, so those were sort of acting as a background to her popping efforts.

"In the common room," echoed Anders. "Witnesses could get both of us in trouble for that. Plus, you know, some people just aren't that comfortable watching that sort of thing happen."

"Fine," Bel said. "Behind closed doors then. So the question is when. Just make sure you won't have anything else to do for a few days, because you won't be walking when I'm done with you."

Anders shrugged. "I'm free after second period on Friday. I'll clear my schedule for the weekend then, why don't I?"

"I'll see what I can arrange then," Bel said. "Should work for me."

"Okay then. One ass-kicking, scheduled for Friday." Yes, Anders even pulled out his Palm and put it down on the calendar, because he was a dork like that.

"You're really looking forward to this," Bel noted as Anders updated his calendar.

"What can I say?" Anders got the Palm to give him a few jujubes and offered one to Bel. "I'm thinking of it as a learning experience."

"What, how to beg for mercy?" Bel asked, accepting the candy.

"I don't beg, dude," Anders said stubbornly. "Unless you're into that."

Bel smirked. "You'll learn."

Anders popped another jujube into his mouth and sucked on it slowly. "Part of my 'training,' huh?"

Bel was not distracted by said sucking one bit. Really.

"Yeah, but you'll learn to like it," he said.

Anders wasn't savoring the jujube very, very slowly on purpose. At all.

"But is it going to do me any good?"

"You'll just have to wait and see, won't you?" Bel said.

Anders made a big show of sighing and putting a hand to his forehead. "There you go, making me wait again. The anticipation is going to kill me. Really."

"And rob me of my pleasure?" Bel said. "Can't have that."

Anders took a step forward and poked Bel lightly in the chest. "You love torturing me, don't you?"

"Maybe just a little," Bel admitted, smirking.

Anders sighed. "The things I do to help brighten up your day. And I don't even know what's in it for me."

Bel's smirk got even broader. "But you said you like it," he said.

Anders poked him again. "Not usually. Guess that makes you an exception, huh?"

"Because I'm just that damn irresistible," Bel said. "And watch the hands." He warily eyed Anders poking attempts.

"Sorry," Anders said, poking him one more time. "Can't keep my hands off you, you're that damn irresistible."

"Maybe I'll just have to give those hands something else to do then," Bel said in a low voice.

"You already know I'm damn good with them, so why let it go to waste?" Anders countered. "Got anything that needs to be hung?"
