Second Floor Common Room - late Tuesday night/early Wednesday morning

Kawalsky couldn't sleep. He'd been doing just fine for a while now, but he was back to his usual insomniac ways. With insomnia came time in the common room, and with time in the common room came TV watching.

TV watching in the wee hours of the morning with multidimensional cable could mean only one of two things - Bitterwoman reruns or jello wrestling. With bikinis.

In this case, the bikinis won.

Seely had meant to go down to the gym to run off his own sleeplessness, but wandered into the common room when he heard the sound of the television. "Please tell me that's what I think it is you're watching."

"If you're thinking the most noble of all spectator sports, then you're right."

"Oh thank god," Seely grinned, and leapt over the back of the couch to get a better view. "It's been too long."

Kawalsky passed over a bag of potato chips. "It's the south-east national championships. There are close-ups. I think I struck gold."

Seely beamed and took some chips. "I think I may have died and gone to heaven."

"Heaven, Hell, who cares as long as this is there?"

"Not me," Seely answered. "We so need a jello wrestling team."

"It's the sport of kings. Or queens. Queens. Uh, not those kind of queens."

"Definitely not those sort of queens," Seely agreed.

"Queens with natural..." He tried to think of the right words. "Physical attributes."

Alec was not only awake, but wandering, and the sound of a TV going somewhere was a sure draw. He vaulted over the back of the couch, dropped onto the cushions, and whistled low as he looked at the screen. "Whoa, what's this?"

"Jello wrestling," Seely replied with a grin, not taking his eyes off the screen.

"Jello wrestling?" Alec wasn't looking away either, but his eyes widened slightly. "Seriously?"

Kawalsky dragged his eyes away from the TV to stare at Alec. "You've never seen jello wrestling? You poor, deprived child."

"Pretty much," Alec agreed wryly. "But hey, at least I'm seeing it now, right?"

"Yes." He shoved a bag of potato chips at Alec. "You've got a lot of catching up to do."

"Yes, sir," Alec said, grinning as he took the bag. "Anything else I should know, or are we just ogling?"

"Hey," Kawalsky replied, raising a hand slightly to emphasise his point. "It's not ogling. We're appreciating the sport. And the sportswomen. And the uniforms. And the field. Mostly the second and third ones."

"I'm all for appreciation!" Alec pulled out a couple chips from the bag, nodding at the TV. "There's definitely a lot to appreciate. Especially given how dedicated they seem."

"They're the most dedicated sports...people I've ever seen. The Jets and the Giants have nothing on these ladies."

"Definitely not," Alec agreed, having no idea who the Jets or Giants were.

Seely nodded. "Hot girls, in tight, little bikinis, fighting in cold, wet jello," he said. "It doesn't get any better than that."

"I think I have to agree," Alec said, nodding as he continued to watch the screen. "Out of curiosity, is there a point? Not that I require one, you understand."

"Oh, there's an ancient and noble reason for it," Seely assured Alec. "I just can't remember it right now."

Alec shrugged, smirking. "Good enough for me, really."

"True enough," Seely smirked back. "Of course, it's even better live."

"Oh yeah," Kawalsky chipped in. "Way better."

"I can imagine," Alec said, then sighed. "Probably not likely to become a school-sanctioned sport anytime soon though."

"Yeah," Seely agreed, pouting.

Then he grinned. "Charity."

Kawalsky perked up. "Fundraiser."

"Organised by the frat, so it's all official like."

Alec grinned. "Jello wrestling for a good cause and the amusement of all. I like it."

"It's a plan of genius. Brilliance. All that good stuff. One problem."

Seely frowned. "What's that?"

"Who are we gonna get to persuade the girls that could kill us?"

"Team up maybe, so they can't decide on a target?"

"Just make it sound good and I'm sure there'll be lots of girls wanting in on it," Alec said optimistically.

"Okay, Mr Positive, then you get to ask Parker. And Aeryn."
